Scrapping between Blades at Wembley

I didn't see any trouble to be honest, just loads of good natured banter. I'll be the first to admit i spent most of the day fucking hammered yesterday though, just a good day on the ale, and just a shame the result spoiled it. I was sat in block 111. Did the full match in the sun, and got a right tan from it now.

The fans around us in Block 506 were horrendous. We constantly tried to get some atmosphere going and also tried to raise people up. The way we got gawped at was as though we'd asked people to perform heart surgery. There was only a couple behind us and a couple of front who were joining in around where we were.

I was in Block 508 and thought it was ok in patches - sort of followed alongside our attacking.

It seemed tough to start up any singing in that area. Though that had its benefits on one occasion midway through the first half where about 20 'fans' at the back of 506/507 thought it would be great to do a pretty vile song re: the victim in the Evans case, to the tedious tune that Stevenage and others do. It didn't catch on. Heard the same outside the ground too - hopefully the same bunch of idiots.

Are you called 'reight brownie' now ?

I didn't see any trouble at all at the match. Walked up from Wembley Central to meet a phalanx of terriers heading for the stadium.

They were singing; "Where's yer strika gone. She said no, no ,no."

This udders fan apologised for the song, we laughed and agreed that Evans had been a fool.

We went in section B. Made the mistake of walking all the way round the ground only to realise that it was much shorter the other way! Not very good with me aphabet.

Next time, (I have a horrible feeling we will be back there again one day) if I found myself sat in the sun I would ask to move. There were a number of seats free to my left in block 121, in the shade. Loads of seats seemed free above as well in the middle terrace.

£4.70 for a bottle of crappy lager was wicked. I refused to buy one, but had to spend over £4 on two glasses of water. I feel a letter coming on.

Tony.

Yeah. I've been in the sun every day over the last week, and got a better than people who have just come back off holidays.

Oh just remembered on arriving at the tube station , some wankers on the opposite platform started singing about ched to us , the town fans on our side joined in which really pissed me off and I went over and had a word
Luckily our train pulled in as I could see it turning nasty , why sing songs about an opposing player when you've just been promoted at wembley ? Fucktards
Most udders are slime. Sad, but a fact .

I saw no trouble at all either. The nearest thing I saw was a few drops of blood on the steps at Wembley Park station before the game.

I was in block 111 too, right on the back row. The heat was ridiculous. I'd love to know what the temperature was in the stadium/at pitchside. Must have been 40 degrees.

It was 40c or 105f on the pitchside thermometer, ridiculously hot for footall.

Exhibit A should anyone need reminding how moronic blades fans can be sometimes. Another day on the pop brownie? :)

but some pissed up old guy in comedy glasses tried to kick off at one of the huddersfiled fans.

Said old guy never made went to the game - instead, he stayed in a strip club for the duration of the match. He's probably showed a deal more sense than the other 27,499 of us! ;)

To be honest I think the New Wembley is shite for atmosphere. The old ground was much better.I think its acoustically rubbish with one side of your end not able to hear what the the other side is singing etc.
Whoever at Huddersfield had the idea to supply them all with those clicker things pulled a master stroke along with the drummer they were able to create an atmosphere without even knowing they were doing it.

i think it is from Sister Act actually :D..
mostly sung by young lads full of beans who probably haven't got a clue what they are singing about
wind yer neck in

saw footage from top tier from my lads iphone and it was rockin' up there (and shady).. perhaps it is the roof??

We were stood on the back row of block 508, we tried to get people singing in the 2nd half which worked in patches. I couldn't manage to stand up in extra time though, never mind do any singing!

I've still not quite got my voice back but at least the hangover is gone :D

Ched Evans is innocent and Dave Jones is a paedophile.

That's something I learnt from the nice chaps stood behind me at the second leg of the Stevenage match.

To be fair Bradford, I did gain a rather hearty dislike around 2001 at the galpharm , i think we lost , 2 1 perhaps. Their skinheads were giving it large to our fans all game. Before that, I attended the last ever match at leeds rd in 1995, v blackpool. Warnock was the manager, he took em up via the playoffs i gather. Around 50 Blackpool fans were chased through the stand by a gang of shave headed brutes..but as the 50 Blackpool fans sang at them"have you ever been before? have you ever been before?". Clearly fairweather thugs out for a fight.
And yes, City`s fanzine city gent has deffo shaped my views on them too, though I do say they cannot all be bad.

Wind yer neck in? My neck's fully retracted thanks very much.
If you want to condone cuntish behavior that's up to you. Perhaps some of these pulse laden youngsters ought to be taken to one side and have it explained to them why some people may consider such antics to be bad form.

Twats behind me were singing it as well. I'll not condone their behaviour by repeating it verbatim on here though

i thought they sounded like a swarm of bees

i'll be interested to read the ched views when he is (inevitably) released on appeal

Some people have taken umbridge to a group of twats singing a song that only a group of twats would sing.
I'm pretty certain this has nothing to with peoples views on CE's guilt or innocence.

Well said. I found the verdict pretty baffling but I dont see how acting like a twat is going to help things.

No doubt for me that of all clubs - with the possible exception of Birmingham - we have the biggest collection of scumbags in our support. Saturday demonstrated all I need to know about the downfall of this country, unfortunately this large collection of scum choose to spend their wedge - and god knows how they afford it - on ruining the day for alot of people who just want to support the team and watch the match.

That said, I didn't have any major problems near to me but could see plenty of stand-up arguments, posturing, smoking, paraletically drunk, could hear constant swearing and the days of being able to take your lad to the match and expect nowt worse than the odd swear word seems to have long gone.
