Villa and Boro after Bolasie at Everton on loan so Villa might be willing to loan us Hogan
Bolasie in the Championship is just scary.

Villa and Boro after Bolasie at Everton on loan so Villa might be willing to loan us Hogan
Pete O’Rourke is the source. He’s right more often than not. Hogan was always right at the top of Tufty’s list. He only moved on to Waghorn when it wasn’t happening. Maybe a change of mind or circumstances at Villa?
Depends if the wage situation has changed I guess....
Deal would have been done earlier in the window but for that sticking point I reckon. Fingers crossed, I believe he’d be a decent option for us and genuinely strengthen us.
Were his wages ever a sticking point? Is that a known fact or an assumption?
From listening to our only source of accurate information, Chris Wilder it seems more than likely that in order to get something moving, you're reliant on the current club doing their business first. So if Villa haven't brought in a striker, Hogan is still required.
Something which Radio Sheffield tweeted yesterday was that a striker is likely to be the last business done before the window closes for this reason.
Waghorn was possible as Ipswich were willing to sell. Norwood happened after the first deadline as Brighton were concentrated on other business themselves.
Wages may well be a sticking point, but seems more likely that its because other clubs are trying to sort themselves first, of course unless that club is a selling club under embargo...
Either that or a season long loanIf we loan Hogan do we have to buy him in January?
If we loan Hogan do we have to buy him in January?
As far as I knew it used to be "a loan until January" then clubs added "loan with a VIEW to buy" but now a lot of the deals seem to be "on loan until January, permanent from then on".If we loan Hogan do we have to buy him in January?

Wonder why he's so out of favour at Villa, is it that they want him off their wage bill or does Bruce not rate him at all ?
A problem with Hogan is that he seems to be like a younger version of Sharpy. Not the quickest player and has a bite to him. Where's the young, black, pacey french players?
gerreminFrance?
He’s injury prone and probably past his best already. He’s never stayed fit for one season and only played 30 games in a season once. Good luck to the lad but it’s a worrying signing for me

Every time I have seen him play he's not looked very quick. But, then again, he was usually backing into defenders and being a twat. Not the quickest? He's rapid.
Hogan is? I was under the impression he wasn't the fastest. Not the quickest? He's rapid.

It must all be down to the player and both teams though. I'm guessing all 3 options are still available. I think Villa will want a sale to be honest.
He's always been my number one choice so I really have my fingers crossed for this one.
I'm not sure if his injuries have had an effect, but he was definitely very quick before.Hogan is? I was under the impression he wasn't the fastest.

Unless he scores 20 for us, then it's our benefitI only think we should take him if its loan to permanent / if we loan him say until January or the end of the season with a recall option then effectively we're just getting him fit for Villa's benefit.
I think it was his ACL, I might be wrong thoughOut of interest what have his injuries been? Back and knees are always most worrying.
ACL in 2014, ankle in early 2017, stomach issue in late 2017.Out of interest what have his injuries been? Back and knees are always most worrying.
