I would expect that a professional football manager would remain professional enough to not get involved in (even light-hearted) abuse of a fellow manager. The sausage Röhl chant is great but it is not one that Wilder should be getting involved in. Stick to swinging pigs, Chris.

I’m more outraged along with many woke lefties about his feelings towards treatment of pigs. Everyone knows that swinging pigs is harmful to them and causes undue stress especially in areas such as Hyde park flats and wadsley bridge. It also makes the bacon taste bitter

I like Wilder. I love his passion for the club and the way he connects with the fans. His achievements in his first spell were remarkable. I was gutted when he left and blamed the Prince. With hindsight I think Wilder was at fault too. I was not convinced he was the right appointment when he returned. I thought he might be a busted flush. His achievements so far in the close season and the first third of this season have been very impressive. I cannot think of any other manager, coach or leader who would have been able to pick the club off the floor like he has done. I can't think of anyone else who could have handled the awful GB situation better. He gets things wrong occasionally but I think we are lucky to have him. There is a lot to be said for having a dyed in the wool Blade as manger and another as captain - as it was with Wilder and Billy. Having said that I am a little bit uneasy seeing videos of CW pissed and involved in stuff that could be interpreted as disrespectful to other managers and clubs. I think he opens himself up to accusations of lacking in class. He represents the fans and wears his heart on his sleeve and I haven't got a problem with that. But he also represents the club and is a figurehead and this carries other responsibilities that require some discretion. Having said all of that he is going a great job and long may it continue

Given that Wilder had an issue with a linesman eating a sandwich in his presence last year and knowing a bit about his personality I imagine he’d go nuts and get the face on big time if it was Rohl singing and mocking him.

I know Wilder gets some hammer about that Palace game comments, but that was an official after the game meeting between a manager and the four officials and Premier League delegate to talk about decisions in the game. Its like you going into a meeting with a client and then they are start eating the buffet whilst the meeting is taking place and ignoring the discussion. I actually got and understand his comments.
