I am very aware that I'm in the minority here but it's a bit disappointing to see Wilder joining in with that one. Chants denegrating Wednesday are absolutely fine but chants about his opposite number should be avoided (IMHO).
The guy's a Blade and was having fun with his Blade mates.
Nothing wrong in that.
Also it's not offensive or racist just a play on words from what the Wendy sing.
I'm sure Danny sees it also as a bit of fun.

One of the striking things about Wilder’s post-match wind-down in the Banner Cross is how few fucks he appears to give (precisely zero fucks) about the apparent new owners being in town.

Corporate Americans in suits are unlikely to be impressed with this kind of malarkey. The fact that this may not even have occurred to Wilder, or if it did he just thought “fuck it”, is hugely endearing—particularly in a context where new owners tend to want their own man in.

It does raise the bar a bit on his previous definition of disrespectful behaviour toward a manager, though 🤣

If im being very pessmistic wonder if he knows he's not long for the job with owners wanting their own man, so hes just thought fuck it! Hope i'm wrong though, feels like Wilder is just starting to get that 18/19 style team spirit together

That’s what I thought when I saw it.

I’ve cringed a bit at some of Wilder’s drinking antics in the past (as I think he has to be fair - mentioned on the Colin Murray podcast) but he’s trying to build some team spirit, togetherness and “buy in” with the players and god knows we need that after last season.

Bit cringe of Wilder to be honest, could well come back to bite him on arse.

Yes I like that he's a fan but behaving like a drunken idiot is not endearing to me, aware others think differently.
He is a passionate fan of the club and living out his childhood dreams, the vast majority could not care less for political correctness.

This is what the majority of fans love.

I was thinking exactly this. If the take over proceeds and we have American ownership then I don’t see Wilder lasting too long as manager with this type of behaviour being publicised.

The Prince is/was a pragmatist who knew he needed Wilder with all his ale cart antics more than an insipid yes man to save his investment. He can also successfully avoid criticism “at home” due to his elevated status as Prince.

I see Americans as a very simple people. They are or like to be seen as sober and God fearing and in the corporate world corporate reputation is very important. If these new owners have the money they’ll not think twice about ditching Wilder as not being conducive to the corporate image.

Tell you what, if I’d been having that “fun with my Blades mates”, at the Banner I’d have been lobbed out and barred. One rule………..

Personally I think life’s too short to worry about stuff like this.

Bannan was in a pub somewhere singing about us when they won the L1 play off final - it’s part and parcel of the rivalry.

No doubt they will beat us again at some point in the future and their manager (whoever that may be) can dance a jig on the bar at The Fourty Foot on Parson Cross or wherever.

Both Sheffield clubs should celebrate their successes when they arrive as there are always hard times round the corner.

I'd rather Wilder not done the sausage rohl song stood on his seat solely because it invites criticism but once yes retired he'll be loaded for it from our fans.

I think it's incredibly heroic he's singing blades chants after a derby win. He's a proper fan and he's also an incredible manager. If not swap him for anyone else anywhere because I genuinely think with the budget he gets no one can do better, or would have done better. He creates an unbelievable team spirit just like Bassett and Warnock did a d I'm no fan of the latter these days.

Enjoy the Wilder years for every moment because there isn't another like him or very few who could manage the club as good as Wilder does and who are as passionate on the club.

Add it to the low key press conferences prior to the game, including the ‘morose’ attitude immediately post Brizzle perhaps he knows he’s on his way when the takeover completes,?
2+2 =5

Still yet to see anything that suggest he is this great coach that many people see. There is nothing in their style of play or how he sets up his team that makes you think yeah that’s decent to be fair. Bang average team with a bang average coach.
They are judging him on the mess that was in before him to be fair and he's light-years ahead of disco

That’s well gone and in the past. He is being judged by pigs and Blades in the team HE has now built, how they play and where they are in the league. Pigs obviously rate him but why so many blades do baffles me.

I just don’t see it, I’ve always said they will finish 13th, currently 12th. It’s where those players should be, so he is not over performing with that team, he’s just a bit meh, a nothing coach, who plays poor football. Just my opinion of course.

Yeah the way they go on about him you'd gho k he'd have had the success McKenna at Ipswich who came above them in the same league one year had but they are comparing themselves to Plymouth so you can see why they are happy

Completely deluded on Radio Sheffield just now. Seems to think they dominated the game, we were only in their box once in second half yada yada yada.....

They are an agricultural team with centre backs slower than me and just knock it long to some stationary beanpole and a 45yr old

Bigger net spend than Sir Christopher of Nazareth.
