It’s not rocket science to double up on Jes and not leave Lowe exposed etc., but I think he is doing pretty wel with a poor squad and not much money to play with. They’re around mid-table, and you’d expect them to be bottom 3, so I think he’s actually doing ok.
Didn't they have the highest nett spend on transfers this summer?

In fairness he could scarcely have set them up any better than they were in the first half. He’s getting the most out of a terrible set of players

I’ll hold my hands up and say I don’t know. I didn’t notice a single decent signing or significant fee in the summer, but maybe their net spend was higher than I thought.

If he starts with no assets though - just a box of bits of crap, and Scott Parker starts with Berge. Then Burnley sell and reinvest 99% of it, and Rohl spends 50p, he’ll have the highest net spend. If he gets a box of crap and 50p worth of players up to mid-table though then he’s doing OK.

A lot of spending in the championship is possibly about the loan fees you pay and the wages to keep and attract players I’d guess. I don’t know much about them but from an admittedly brief glance down I thought Rohl was probably doing an ok job with what looked like a limited amount of financial outlay - but I may well be giving him too much credit if their spending is in the upper half of the league list.

To be fair to the bloke, they set up well.

Tactically he was spot on.

Unfortunately for him, we had a little extra class and petrol in the tank.

Not a classic, but we deserved it.

Interesting at Swillsborough. Not sure he can set up 5 / 5 to there
I think the game at their place will be better.

Very difficult to set up in front of your home fans and defend in numbers.

There’s always a desire to take the initiative a little more at home.

That would make for a better game in my view.

And if we pick them off four times on the break and stuff em 4-0 they'll still be better than us, just unlucky.
And a 10 minute extended highlights video will be produced to show that we only touched the ball four times
