Nah.

Doubt it

Maybe for the youth set up, but not for the first team.

Had a guy on trial in the Bassett era. Koji Noguchi? I believe they asked him where he wanted to play by pointing at a map of a pitch. Unfortunately, it took a while to realise that he was looking at it upside down.
At least he'd improve defensively

Please if you are going to mension a plaayer could we have bit more info;- age, postion worth etc
for all i know he could be an incoming accountant

Clue is in the name. Tosh
I had an Indian customer in Dubai a few years ago who wanted to introduce his own brand name on home appliances and he thought Tosh sounded great. I explained that in British English it had a very specific meaning which would make it a difficult sell in the UK and anywhere English is spoken. Just looked it up and his company still exists but he isn’t using the brand so at least he listened.

Satoshi Tanaka sounds like the name of someone who fought Ric Flair in 1988.

At what point do we get told he's going to Middlesbrough? Can we skip to that bit?

Japanese player = technically astute central midfielder

That was my guess. Seems correct

Appears to be a left footed defensive midfielder who's scored a decent number of goals this season

Careful, people will think the term "technically astute" as codewords for "5'6" midget who can't compete physically it's a no from me"

And here I am scratching around for the cryptic “Sato” reference and why they shit a knacker…

… what’s that rushing air sound?
