...and there is a ‘Blade’ in there who says Wildernis a mercenary if he leaves United and goes elsewhere!?!?! All this about Wilder being a Blade?.

Fuck me....I’m on my way to being 62 and I could’ve fuckin decked the twat!
yeah he should work for fuck all on fuck all resources cos he's a blade.. fuck that. he simply wants what is best for the club plus.. if he doesn't get the resources he'll be out of a job by November so he may as well go somewhere else now.

yes. but i'd say you haven't thought it through properly mate.. he may be a blade but this is his job . his livelihood and he wants what is best for the club. for that we need some investment he can't be pulling rabbits out of a hat all the time..

Thanks, but I have thought it through quite a few times and rationally

Does depend a bit on the circumstances tho...

If he left for a 3rd division team because he was offered more money, that might stick in the craw a bit especially after the sentiments he expressed in terms of players wanting to be here.

If he moved onwards and upwards, possibly easier to take, for some... (not all - think che adams.!)

Aren't we all mercenaries?

If someone offered me a job whereby my kids, and my grandkids would be sorted for life - I'd be off in a heart beat.

Funny how we have these strange double standards when it comes to football.
At the same time, though earning s fraction of what people on the football world do, I wouldn’t put money at the top of my list.

The idea we’d all take the money, no matter what, is false.

if he went for the money it would be perfectly understandable IMHO

Yeah love all these fans who think he should stay at the Lane and be grateful whatever the circumstances coming from the boardroom.

Let the boardroom potentially hang him out to dry and set back his career and opportunities (not saying that's definitely the case btw but could be one scenario if he decides to go).

Despite some already calling him out, I'll trust Wilder to not do a Warnock.

it's pretty mind blowing to me that anyone is criticising Wilder at all.. we should all know the score with the board by now. they've been at it for years..

I don't know the facts mate about the boardroom situation, apart from that Wilder hasn't agreed to go anywhere at present.

I try to keep an open mind about the boardroom and not jump to conclusions based on previous episodes. That said despite respect for McCabe I can't pretend I trust him to get it right.

I see our Prince has bought a fag company now, hope wilders ok with it.

Suspect Wilder will stay if McCabe stays and I heard McCabe doesn't want the prince to have it

And have an extra like for not continuing from the title ... 'listening to Wilder talking to a bloke who looks like that new Sunderland owner...'

If Chris Wilder hasn't built up a decent pension pot by now, after being in football all his life, then god help the rest of us.
Despite what loads are saying on here...money isn't the motivator of everyone.
