Sander Berge

That's strange because 1st half a bunch of people said we had no midfield.

I don't get all this sudden Berge hate.

It's not hate, just a tactical opinion that we are better without him in the side.

Gutted he's injured in and of itself, means we can't sell or play him :(

3 months for a hamstring? Can’t believe that.

An already depleted midfield, hardly got anyone left.

All the more reason to change this system that hasn’t worked all season.

Now let's hope he kicks on, seems settled now, has the talent and look forward to seeing him show it at a higher level.

Its to his credit that he's stuck with us since relegation x

He walks on a free this time next year.
We may have to move him on.

I think he’s that great he can have a go on my missus……….as long as I can have a go on his!!

He was colossal. Easily our best player in the first half, when it was a bit of a struggle, and then even better in the second.

I'm his biggest cyritic but tonight I've got to admit he was class, well done lad.👍
I am with you on that !! If he plays like that then he looks the real deal. Fantastic to see… we all want him to do that every week and we know he can.

Fantastic tonight yet again. All i seem to see is half a brain Utd fans all over the facebook forums saying he’s toss… thick is fuck.

Yer big game players play well in big games!
Sander cut them to shreds down that right hand channel in the 2nd half and lit the blue touch paper with his goal

We need to keep him. He’s brilliant and will be even better in the big league.

he made everyone who called him lazy look stupid as he had 35yd sprint to bust a gut to make it on the end of ndiaye pass for 1-0

berge deserves all the celebrations. i thought last seasons lap of honour after fulham. that was me saying goodbye, i thought agent or norway boss would pressure him into leave..or typical utd would sell him. but he has stayed loyal never made a fuss about digging in. in the 2nd tier. never thought it was beneath him & he deserves all the celebrations tonight

I must admit, in the January window if Berge had gone and we'd got O'Brien in I would have not been disappointed with that deal. I had my doubts if we got promoted that Berge wouldn't have the fight for a likely relegation fight, but after the last two games what we know is he certainly has the quality and we need that class from Berge, really hope he stays next season and I think he will be up for staying after this season. Hopefully Solbakken can shut up now going on about leaving!

Really impressed listening to him do post-match interviews laying out what’s worked and what was going on in different moments. Also noticed in that video of Egan and oli doing the ‘guess the player game’ sander’s epithet was “LOVES a debrief”.
I think Berge probably does EXACTLY what his coach asks him to do - so if he’s annoying the crowd by not playing early balls, or by dropping deeper and deeper, or by slowing the game a bit, or by playing simple lay-offs instead of taking men on … my bet is because that’s what Hecky has told him to do. Positionally, I’m sure he will be wherever he’s been told to be throughout the 90. There might be times when we think he should be paying differently, but at those times I’m starting to think the gripe should probably taken up with Hecky rather than Berge - and Hecky now has a fair bit of evidence behind him to suggest maybe there’s a case for trusting he’s got a decent idea what he’s doing.
