I reckon they have tried again but hoped to hustle a deal on the cheap since its the last day of the window.
 
I’ve been glued to this all day and I’ve come to the conclusion that he will either stay or go and there’s nothing I can do about it or want to do about it and it will effect or affect (whichever is correct) my life zero percentage

We and a minimum £22m apparently to trigger the release clause in his contract, yet the highest bid received from Brugge to date is only £12m…. It’s nowhere near our valuation, so either get it upped quickly, or go away.

Anyone saying that either we're in talks or Sander Berge is in talks with Club Brugge is basically reporting what Nathan Hemmingham said earlier. The lines of communication have remained open between us it seems. If you're a journo being told to dig for stories on deadline day it's an easy one to explore.

That said, if he does go, he wasn't even that good and Club Brugge are shite.

That's what you'd hope so yeah.
I think if we are signing another player for 4.5m prob true. Because gaining 10m if the fee earlier was still 15m isn't exactly much.

Wouldn't be surprised if we don't get Kone done. And also wouldn't be surprised if Berge doesn't go. We shall see in about 5 hours.
 

Find it odd how Romano has tweeted about Kone deal but only said the Berge deal to a smaller audience on twitch. Maybe I'm just over analysing this though.
