Or it could be that Utd have been delaying the deal to Bruges until we have finalised the replacement? That could still be the case - if we sign the replacement then Berge goes, if we can't do that then he doesn't go. It is utter madness leaving it all until the last day either way, we should have put our own deadline on this one.
I am still not convinced he is going (more hope than anything else) but to sell and not get in a decent replacement puts serious pressure on the squad until January.
