He's a much better player now. He's stronger in the tackle, keeps up with play better, makes better breaks into the box and he's found a role for himself.He doesn't look any better to me than he has whenever he's been fit
He was outstanding v spurs and Chelsea in the prem before his Injury
He was never as bad as some were making out .unbelievably footballers do play better when fully match fit and with a run of games
Let's hope Brewster and mcburnie are next
Those games in the PL that you mentioned were excellent performances but he wasn't consistent enough then or since. This season he's found that fitness and consistency (finally a player that just needed a preseason)
Big thing for me is that the players around him know him and know where to make the right runs
You're right, he was never that bad, just wasnt up to speed to be at his best
As for his value its as much as someone wants to pay and whatever the release clause is.
