If any of that is true we may as well just start the season in league one and save ourselves the journey. Has to be horseshit. Interesting his salary works out at less than 35,000 when he's said to be the highest earner. You've got Blades all over twitter saying United can get three players with his salary. Where from, the conference?

Phillips is a thug at best and for the life of me cannot understand what all the fuss is about! Different player Sander but as class wrote all over him, I know who I'd sooner pay money to watch👍

Strikes me as a story out in the press to generate interest probably by his agent. Let’s be honest why the hell would a loan to buy fall through last minute? Also doesn’t serve us at all and the other clubs interested in signing him permanently is very nebulous. Nothing to get wound up about it’s just game playing

I think the club is complicit. I've a feeling everyone wants the deal to be done this Summer.
Just a case of finding a buyer at the right level.

Anywhere in the top flight is where he wants and needs to be in order to keep his international status alive and his agent happy.

If he goes to a PL struggler and is still playing, then he is putting himself again other internationals. Which is ultimately where he needs to be….

Who are we kidding if we believe that football is a loyal sport….He holds no sentiment for the club and he doesn’t have to be with us. If a bottom half premier league club wants to pay his asking price and give him the platform he needs, then he’s going to follow that projectory.

100 games in which he played short passes just inside his own half, achieving nothing, whilst the likes of Michu and Sigurdsson did the actual work required.

Agree with you re Blackwell though. When you intend to play Monty every week the last player you sign to play with him is Britton, another creative black hole. What a stupid signing.
 
Surely we won't keep Sander.... Will we?! I've assumed all window that he'd be going in this window. Could I be wrong (for the first time ever)?!

At that point I think we’d be saying meet the buy out or come back in Jan, unless talks have been ongoing for a while and we’ve replacements lined up.
I just don’t see this board or manager looking to cut our losses or shitting the bed at the last minute.
He’s available for a price now but if they try and leave it late I think we’ll push back if we can’t replace him adequately. There’s too many games before Jan for us to take the risk.
 
Hecky on RS this morning saying we have received no offers for Berge. No offers from Werder Bremen or any British or foreign teams.He sounded pissed off with this media speculation.

He’s previously said it’s a bugbear of his that anyone can start a rumour and he then gets questioned about it like it’s fact.

Imo Sander will be here until Jan at least. The preseason footage showing him getting stuck and now scoring in both games, call me old fashioned but he at least appears like he wants to be here.

Compare that attitude to Ramsdale last season, making demands of the board and forcing his way out, then bad mouthing the club as soon as he’s out.

I can’t see Berge behaving like that tbh.
