Soumare hasn’t had a lot of minutes and was flagging. We also need to start getting minutes into Riedewald. But I agree, Soumare had a decent game. Not amazing, but showed enough to shut up the cretins on here who had already written him off.

Yup agreed.

I think the run Soumare made late in in the first half which he then followed up with a could of decent challenges lifted the crowd and the players.

The first half up until that moment had been fairly even and a little bland. We lifted the performance from about 40 mins onwards and although perfect was a lot more like it.

McCallums a good championship left back. Sometimes he won't look quite upto, but most of the the time he will be decent. We expect to dominate games at this level, so he can seem a bit below part at times. But a lot of teams in this division would have him. Young enough to improve with wisdom, like all defenders.amd seems to have a good attitude.

I've no idea what the 'hammer role' is, but I would have brought him on at half time to replace Barry who, frankly, was awful.

He's an exponentially better athlete than Burrows and we need all the athleticism, dynamism and energy as we can get out there.

Thought we looked a lot more vulnerable and barely attacked down the left once Burrows replaced him.

We've seen odd glimpses of what he's capable of before but if he can genuinely provide competition for Burrows, all the better.

He offers something when we go long with his ability in the air and I didn't realise he had such a good long throw in his armoury either.

When he launched it, it took me back to Greg Halford's debut when he nonchalantly hurled the ball beyond the penalty spot to a collective "woaaahh".

But McCallum's long throws don't get as far as the penalty spot they all reach around the edge of the six yard box on the side he is throwing from -yet not one of our players stood in that area - every time
