Some might have to put on their waterproof mattress protectors tonight but it’s still not finalized and now El Accounto is suggesting a “hiccup”.
He's just repeating what was doing the rounds on twitter this morning that there was an issue with the medical. Not ITK just spends time trawling social media to stay relevant.

Is that the reason Norwich let him go?
Don’t ever get this.

Fails medical at one club.

Joins someone else.

They seldom fail a medical and then pack up playing, so how does it all work?

Lest we not forget we managed to get John Ebbrell over the line and he lasted a half (though he does have the best assists per game ratio of any Blade!)

Yeah, but he also failed a medical and was uninsured. Our record signing as well.

Classic United.

Different clubs are prepared to gamble on different things. So theoretically both clubs identify the issue but for one club it’s a red line and the deals off but for another it’s something they’re comfortable managing.

Shame if true but presumably he was only a back up to Burrows if he comes in. We've still got RND who can play there. Is Harry Boyes still with us?

There's a video from a few years back from a podcast, where someone who worked on the medical staff of I think Arsenal explains this.

He said there's no such thing as passing or failing a medical and it's basically just a risk assessment against the various costs involved.

He gives a great example of someone who had knee surgery and they said he'd be fine for about 3 years. They sold him after a few years and not long after, his knee went again.

So signing someone on a free with reduced wages, clubs might be happier to take the risk. But by the same thought process there's not a club on the planet that would pay a decent fee to take Brewster off our hands and match his wages because the risk assessment would be that there's a chance his hamstring goes again.

Assuming that this one is off now? It's all gone quiet with rumours of failed medical? Shame if so because he got good reviews from Norwich fans.

Clearly summat has gone wrong with it. Nixon won’t comment. He was there for a medical last week and we’ve heard nothing.
