Explain American puffs rugby to me. It has a different ball a different pitch different number of players , the ball travels in a different direction .In fact it is as far removed from rugby than any other sport, the players are fitter and better prepared and I'm sure has the same quota of 'puffs' and a far bigger audience so dull is justified opinion. Have you ever been to a game BTW ?

Not too sure about fitter Sitwell, depends what position they play. Running backs and wide receivers are ridiculously fit, tight ends and linebackers I'm not too sure :)

Sorry but these days Tight Ends have to be pretty fit, a TE is explosive, take Rob Gronkowski for example, big guy but very mobile, not the fastest but extremely strong and has a great jump and catch on him. Same with Tony Gonzalez, too.

The NFL teams are indeed a "broad church" when it comes to body sizes, each playing their role. Whilst they are all strong and fit, it IS a juxtaposition when you see the weight some of them carry. I love my NFL almost as much as football. I fear this thread (already tenuously in General Blades Chat) will end badly as it descends into a slagging match.

I put the clip of Watt on (being a Texans fan) to illustrate the fitness levels. And whilst it may be dismissed as "marketing", I also admire how accessible the players are for the fans.

I like NFL, been watching it since 1984 when it was Channel 4, a week delayed transmission ...

Finally picked a team in 2008

You will note the decline in Sitter's enthusiam for the Bills, as they get their asses handed to them in Week one

I love NFL and went to the Cowboys first home game in the 2nd best stadium in the world in 2009.

Going to Redskins v Bengals at Wembley and Buccaneers v Panthers in Tampa this year. Can't wait.

Added to the Raiders getting to the play-offs and it should be a good season.

Not one for the pre-season myself, (remember a certain team going 4-0 a few season ago to end up 2-14 or 3-13?) but looking forward to it immensely as always,
Any old school chanel-4-from-back-in-the-early-80's-with-nicky-horne fans?
Went to bills@jets back in 2010 & the bdtbl st george flag flew high atop manhattan for a few days & i'm still savin for my next jaunt but the $ rates shit3 :/

Red Sox mate nuff said , go Big papi .

Definitely

As a general rule I favour all the Boston teams (except with the Saints in the NFL).

Although I have a bit of a soft spot for the Cubs as well, they're the Sheffield United of baseball :)

The Cubs yeah , keep building you up just to let you down big time , every fucking season .
Not a pats fan myself , although my daughter insists I wear all the stuff she buys me ( she lives in Boston ) .
Cant wait for the ice hockey season to start , go Briuns , their mascot is even named after the Blades .

I'm off to watch ice hockey while on holiday in Prague in a couple of weeks. Never been to see a match before and really don't know what to expect.
