I'm sort of reading into his words that Lenny is staying, at least for the time being. So unless something changes, it's time for me to withdraw back to the Southend board. I know I've tried leaving a couple of times but I've been drawn back by the jazz of you Northern monkeys. It's been a real pleasure to be abused and bantered here, and being able to use the occasional swear words without a swear filter cutting in, which happens on our board, has been heaven. I Mod on our board so it's been great to be a child and say what I think without caution. Ok, that's that done. Have a wonderful season in the Championship (I am v jealous) and for god's sake don't come straight back down as I want to abuse you some more when we get promoted this season. And finally, in true Blades style fuck you all. I will never be a Blade but I will follow your results.

Just a minor technical point. When I last checked (not that I ever have) Sydney is south of Southend. You see, having a global support base means many of us Blades don't even live in Yorkshire, simply a case of once a Blade always a Blade.

Outside of that rather "massive" oversight, many thanks for your contributions. Greatly appreciated. ⚔️
 
Is it just me or does anyone else think that we will be somewhat overloaded in midfield should we be successful with the Leonard and Lenihan deals? I know that Lenihan can also play CB but according to Blackburn fans not his best position.

As much as wilder apparently wants him and we have now apparently increased the offer to £1 million, I would not be disappointed if he stays where he is. This will then allow us to reassess in January, by which time we should have lenihan on board and whiteman will have complete his initial stint at Doncaster. Either of who I feel could do the job required, how well they can do; it can be assessed between now and then.
Do not rule regan slater out, v well thought of and could step into the breach for one off games as required.

If Coutts or Fleck get injured then we look a bit light in CM, particularly if it's Fleck. We need him, or someone like him, by the end of the window. It's the fine line between getting good value and spoiling the ship for an 'apeth of tar.

Absolutely. If something is really worth having, patience and persistence pays off in the end.

It reminds me of the time I really fancied this girl in sixth form at school. That is, she was in sixth form, I was just a fifth form pupil, but she was the fittest bird in school by a mile. She wore tight roll neck sweaters that made her boobies stand out, short mini-skirts that exposed her curvy thighs, and knee length boots.

It's the position Tufty wants him for. That rather overrides 'Blackburn fans' in terms of what he does at United.

A strong bid for Coady might help Blackburn and Southend make up their minds about our bids as they both lose out on their sale if Chris is looking to shop elsewhere. Having competition can swing both ways in negotiations. Well done Chris

Depending on the price I'd suggest coady is a better midfielder than Leonard and probably a better defender than the Blackburn lad.

Covers both positions with better quality and would be a win win situation for me.

Coady, Lenihan and Leonard. All smokescreens for each other. Which one will emerge from the smoke? It's like watching an episode of Starts in their eyes... "tonight Matthew, I'm going to be Connor Coady".
