Don't blame the player. Easier league, more chance of competing near the top, likely have European football. It matters to some players even if the league isn't top level.

Again though, European football is ok if you have a chance of winning. Humping some minnows then having about as much chance of progressing as we did in the FA Cup Semi isn't all that for me. Each to their own.

i think nathan redmond would be a very clever signing ok knocking on a bit now but can play 2 or 3 positions and bags of premier league experience

I thought he was decent with Coventry early on in his career.

They seem to be just recycling Championship out of contract players now - Lawrence, Cantwell, soon Do well I believe.

He was probably just one on a very long list that we were aware of. I suspect that we were never really in for him to the point that we started talking figure. Probably more of an enquiry.

I have to be honest and say I’m not too fussed about this. I’ve watched a bit of him in Scotland and he seems very inconsistent in what is after all a much weaker league.

Not that bothered, I’m always slightly suspicious of players attitudes if they go to Celtic/rangers in the first place.

Glad we didn't get him. The reports from Rangers fans were not glowing, and I just don't see how he would fit into our formation, at best I would see him as backup for Iliman Ndiaye, but to carry him on a large wage potentially into the Championship would not be smart.
