The OP doesn’t say we are buying him for £4m so I’m not sure why you’re getting your knickers is a twist over it.

There will be money to spend this summer. It might not be a lot and it probably shouldn’t all be spent on a LWB but we’re paid to make those decisions

Rifleman DOESN'T lie! Plus, if we can't splash out £4m after three out of five seasons in the Premier League, parachute payments, as well as the expected sales this summer of Anel, Souza, Traore etc, then that speaks to something seriously wrong in the running of the club.

Pretty sure I'd just clarified it further for you. Who is paid, sorry?

And Baltic is a fake ITKer, hence my original question to him.

Apologies, it should've said not paid.

Either way, I'm not sure there's a need to keep getting hung-up on the numbers. Money will be spent and where it gets spent will be decided by those who are there to make such decisions. Nobody has suggested we're paying £4m for Ryan Giles.

As much as I don’t want to shoot you completely down as we all love a bit of pre season transfer gossip, you’re judged on the accuracy of what you throw out there when it comes to people believing you.

I’ve honestly never seen you get anything right or tell us a name that we’re after before it’s public knowledge.

Hopefully Giles will be your resurrection.
 
Not only has he got it spectacularly wrong as per usual, he’s now pinning his hopes on what’s in the local papers and widely available on Google that Boro have not given up hope of getting him on loan if he doesn’t impress the new manager in pre season because he actually lost his place in the side towards end of last season so he could well be shipped out if he doesn’t impress.

He’s like one of those kids on Twitter with 12 followers called EFL Transfers, Ex Agent or something like that who trawl social media, google and local paper websites for any snippets they can then post as breaking news to their 12 followers. It’s actually quite funny now how bad he is at it.

It's. A forum it's far less harmful than some of the quite frankly scary political and social opinions

The thing is mate we all love abit of transfer gossip as you say especially involving us. But these accounts are not posting gossip they are posting information as fact that they are ITK and receiving insider information from someone at the club, it’s nonsense. They pick up info from elsewhere and bring it here as ITK and then make educated guesses on the story’s, it’s very easy to do. If they said I’ve just seen this elsewhere and we might be in for such and such player that would be transfer gossip and can’t see anyone having a problem with that. But that’s not what they do they want to be ITK like the young kids on Twitter.

Rifle in particular throws that much shit against the wall he will get 1 or 2 to stick at some point, got to by the law of averages and some will say see he’s ITK when he’s clearly not.

Can't see an issue with it myself
It's a forum and without. A it of ITK speculation or rumour it's a bit boring
Just full of people getting morally superior about insignificances

Cant see an issue with fake story’s or story’s already out there being past off as their own info? Fair enough each to their own. I’ve no problem with rumours or gossip for the record, more the merrier.. but I do have a problem with fake ITKs who are desperate for some notoriety.

Not seen anyone try to be morally superior so not sure what that’s about. Seen plenty pull them up for not being ITK and consistently getting things wrong though, I’d call that folk pointing out the obvious maybe your calling that folk being morally superior.

Whos trying to be an arbiter? I’ve given my opinion that someone is talking nonsense, I’ve even said to you if you believe then fair enough each to their own so that’s hardly an arbiter.

Thing is we must have a list.

Burrows is probably on it. So is McCallum. So is Giles. So are others.

We just need two.

Other clubs are also going to be after players.

It’s quite legit that we have an interest in a player and it doesn’t happen.

I’d rather folk share info they heard so we as fans can get an idea who we may be considering.

As you say, it will be a quiet, boring summer without this speculation!
