24 and only played recently at league one level. Good record last few seasons but still a bit of a gamble. Two years ago he was in the conference!
Some develop a bit later

I've only seen the occasional highlights but I like what I see from him. His assist numbers are also a good indication

I see their other striker Pepple has scored 16 as well, with a better ratio. Another fairly late emerger. He's a year younger too

Nixon could be referring to either but I'd guess it's Tolaj

I can think of 50,000 reasons per week that he'd want to remain loyal to LCFC.
That's the issue though, you can't be paying wages like that in L1.

Fair enough if he wants to stay, but he won't be the only one on wages like that and he'll either have to take a big wage cut or he'll have to leave.

Take Luton this season.

They sold/released big earners in Chong, McGuinness, Aasgard, Morris, Reece Burke, Kaminski and Amari Bell and loaned Milenic Alli to Portsmouth, which drastically reduced their wage bill.

Leicester will have to do the same, probably more so as their wage bill this season will be much higher than what Luton's will have been last season.

Unless he has a wage reduction clause for League 1 (doubtful that was probably even considered...) then he doesn't have to take a wage cut, and if another club offers him less than what he's on he doesn't have to accept the contract and Leicester can't force him to be sold..

True, with that being said I wonder if the best option for Leicester might be to do what Luton did with Alli to Portsmouth.

Where they've loaned him to out to get him off the wage bill and presumably Portsmouth will be paying most (if not all) of his wages.

Obviously, Choudhury will be on higher wages than Milenic Alli which I imagine would limit his options for this, as you'd be expecting a club to sign him on loan and cover at least 75% of a £40k to £50k per week wage.

Apparently Winks has another year at Leicester as well, and getting him off the wage bill looks near impossible given his rumoured £90k wages.

🚨 Hamza Choudhury has confirmed to fans that he will stay at Leicester City for the upcoming season.
After a difficult campaign, Leicester City have now been relegated from the EFL Championship, marking back-to-back relegations for the club — a tough period in their recent history.
Despite the setback, Hamza has shown strong loyalty to his boyhood club and is ready to stay and help the team rebuild.
The midfielder is a true academy graduate, having come through Leicester City’s youth system and worked his way up to the first team. His journey from academy prospect to senior squad member highlights his commitment and deep connection with the club.
As Leicester look to regroup and plan their next chapter, Hamza Choudhury remains determined to be part of the fight to bring the club back up again. 💙⚽
