Jesus Christ they look more like boxing ticket prices, which at least have the wannabe gangsta market to hawk the top prices at. I can't see the local Sheffield chavalry chomping at the bit to pay top dollar to rub shoulders with the thermos toting denizens of Workington, St Helens and Wakefield.

Is there a way to choose your seats? Seem to just be able to choose a price category. I would rather sit on john st or Westfield corner than pukka pie

Does anyone actually understand the rules (or is it laws?) of the two codes?

Admittedly I went to a football / cross country in the winter school so have never played the game but having watched matches on a Saturday afternoon on TV I haven't a clue what's going on.

I played union at school but much prefer league and have supported the Eagles since their second year. The two codes are really very different. I find the rules of union have created problems, especially since professionalism, as it has essentially become a kicking game and the running and passing just fills time between kicks at goal, which are too frequent because the play carries on when a player is tackled - which results in a ruck or maul, where the players all pile in on the tackled player - and in the chaos it's obvious an infringement can easily take place. League stops play with a tackle. The player stands and back heels to get play going again. Overall League is about running and passing, which I find much more entertaining.
It's also a mistake to compare it with (association) football, it's just too different. I don't have a problem enjoying both. All three codes are more interesting than American grid iron (as is watching paint dry).

I will go, mainly for the historical context but will wait until nearer the time to buy tickets. If the opposition had been a bit stronger they might just be able to justify some of those prices but Greece will be so weak it will be an absolute walk over for England.

I know I'm in a minority but I'rather count the individual blades of grass on the Desso than watch any form of rugby on it. It absolutely bores me to tears

I don’t even know the rules....I feel a closer bond to US Football and I don’t even know much about that.

I remember in the mid to late 80’s on holiday in Greece.
Met a lad from Leeds and he was telling me about his love for Rugby League and how it’s the greatest sport in the world.
He was going about the media unfairness as they always promote Rugby Union but he said Rugby League is so much better than Union.

I didn’t have a clue what he was on about...I always thought rugby was rugby.

I remember a few years later Sheffield Eagles played Wigan in the rugby final at Wembley....from memory I’m sure the Eagles sold 8000 tickets.
A couple of years later United and Wednesday played in the semi final at Wembley.
i booked the day off work to queue up but 100’s started queuing 2 days before they were due to go on sale.
The police made both clubs open their ticket offices 24 hours early and 74000 were sold before lunchtime.
It proves there was no appetite for rugby in Sheffield.....suspect it’s still the same now.

If you use a semi-final between two long-established fierce rivals playing a sport that is the biggest sport not only nationally but globally as your yard stick, then you can pretty much bin off every other sport.
