Perfect striker up front that we need!!

Scottish (Stereotypically communicate more with Murphs, Flynn etc.
Prolific (25+ last season)
Comes from a club in a terrible state
28 years old (Cant be on massive wages)


I say;
Leave sharp alone, request extra funds from Prince and Kev Mccabe and get Ross now!!!

Ok mate, enough of the nonsence. Every one knows mccormack is not in the same group as ronaldo but if Evans was still around, mccormack would be in the same group as evans. We have progressed in an FA cup semi and have a 'rich' saudi half owner. I woudn't rule out getting a striker like mccormack. We have money!! - or have we spent it on porter's wages for next season?

Putting aside the amount of money he would cost in terms of fee and the salary he would command, do you believe he would drop down to div 3 when I believe there is premiership interest?

I'm all for aiming high, but we have to be realistic. It isn't just about what we the club want, it's also about whether a player is willing to come to us and I would so most of the higher division players aren't

As for Wilder's ability to turn careers around, I think that's unlikely here. He seems to pick players largely based on what he already knows of their attitude, as opposed to someone like Warnock who loves a challenge by taking on a talented bad lad.

People might point to Leon Clarke's miraculous improvement, but Knill knew him well already. It's very different from picking up a staggeringly well paid footballer from the higher echelons who appears to have disappeared up his own backside.
 
McCormack is the epitome of everything that is wrong with modern day football. £12m for someone who has never done it higher than the championship.
 
I am not sure I have seen McCormack's character was questioned before Aston Villa, but is the problem McCormack or Aston VIlla/Steve Bruce.

Their Marquee signing of Henri Lansbury also doesn't play after falling out with Steve Bruce

I think got done for drink driving and flytipping (I’m serious) when he was at Leeds.

Wouldn’t touch him with a bargepole.
 
Hmmm, playing on loan at Melbourne City. Has he really knuckled down? Seems just the sort of case for undercover agent Nick "Monty" Montgomery to get his teeth into...
 
Heard from someone close to CW that he's looking to bring in McCormack as one of the strikers we need. Out of favour at villa after a bust up with Bruce and was on loan in Australia earlier last season. Has he still got it? Can wilder get best out of him...?
