Too many commitments for most away games these days I'm afraid but well done to those of you who are making the long journey (I've done it quite a few times in the past...). It's a crap ground and will need a lot of of effort from you Blades to create much of an atmosphere.

I do hope you will be rewarded by three points.

I shall be listening on RS and religiously avoiding the Shoutbox

Going, but only because Virgin were selling tickets to London for a tenner each way

Going ... cannot help myself. First saw us there in 1980 !

Was that the 0-3 defeat Worksop ? If it was then I was at that game too.

Didn't Dave Grant play for them (ex pig player and Blade)

also wasn't Hodgy their kit man or trainer or something ?

Or am I going gaga.

Wish I could but I spent £50 in petrol getting down that way and back only the other week. That and everyone I've asked is reeling off all manner of excuses - holiday this, operation that, childbirth the other...

Going. 6:30 train. Wasn't going to bother but the Mrs is away with friends so may as well.

Going on the train with the lad - 2nd visit for me (lost 4-1 last time I think - Ndlovu scored) and 1st one for him.

Not sure we'd have gone normally to be honest but missing the next 4 or 5 due to a combination of work and holidays.

Id love to be there , but its a long trip from Spain, but I will be listening to radio sheffield whilst watching Setantas prem game, cheering like a 7 year old and giving my rattle a twirl

In case you (or others) don't know, the club is running coaches for £32 setting off at 7:00.

Usually there are two coaches for away games, but this time there are three - with limited seats available on Coach 3.

Generally you have to book quite early to ensure you get a seat - it varies but sometimes they'll be sold out a week before the game.

Money's tight but it's got to be done. Decided to drive down, I've got a few seats spare if anyone's struggling.

Going, can't wait for the season to start. Also its easier than my home game journey the following week. Now Orient have been relegated it moves into third nearest after Colchester and Southend

Not going due a bad case of skint-as-a-motherfuckeritis, but shall be following closely on Radio Sheff after my trip to the garden centre with Mrs. Jones.

Going. Because I can.
Provided the ticket I bought last week gets down to Hampshire before Saturday.....

its my lovely wife's 50th, so no it would be ill-advised for me to go, but sacrificing this one will give me enough goodwill to attend all the local-ish away game this season...... hopefuly!

OK folks...............Gillingham away - Whose In and whose Not? Whatever your answer ....tell us your reason for going or not going.....

For my part....I am in...........and for several reasons...

First up...this is a new ground for me (part-timer...I know) and secondly...we have a new Manager who seems to have imbued an attacking philosophy which should ensure that whatever the result at least we will actually give it a go !!!

UTB !!!

Going. Why? It's what I do.

Not going :( Although impatience might just about give me the ability to deal with a journey that would push my limits a bit, I just can't justify the train fare when I don't have a job, especially when I'll be at BDTBL the next two Saturdays - I got a ST so admission for those is already paid for but not being local means it's £22.50 on the train a time in addition to my programme, pie and drink...

Also living with my parents means I can't be impulsive without getting an earful about money I shouldn't be spending (and in this case they'd be correct), so will be listening on the Blades Player

I do hope to get to some away games but first will be Bradford or Port Vale depending on whether I decide to tolerate the Sunday train situation here (fine from Leeds, but trains to Leeds don't start till late morning on a Sunday here) meaning that I have to deal with a National Express timetable meaning I would have to get to Bradford about an hour before turnstiles open...

Sorry, ramble over, helps to get the frustrations out, I wish we'd been at home this weekend or at least a reasonably priced train journey away... I can only really justify one "through London" train ticket away match (to myself as much as anything else) and as my birthday is at Easter this year, I'm thinking of making it Southend

Going, with two kids. Been before on the coach, but this time I'm driving, although I have no idea what time I should set off or where I can park near the ground. If anyone can help with info on that rather than making me have to work it out myself, the help would be appreciated.

I'm parking in a multi story near to the station on Railway street 10 mins. walk from the ground. I believe some of the pubs nr. the station are a bit rough. I'm going to try one or two a bit further away from the ground.
