Robinson Out!

Sincerely? What else don’t you know?

Tell me what’s he’s competent at, cus if you think he’s some sort of Chris Morgan you don’t know the basics of being a center back
I think you’re guilty of some ‘Rose tinted glasses’ there, Morgs always wore his heart on his sleeve and gave everything every week, but he also gave away more pens than the ‘Royal Sun Alliance over 50’s plan’ 😉

Wilder and Robbo have spoken so it clearly registered.

He mentioned about his experience of prior promotions being important.

I’d expect this. But if you’re talking about big game temperament then I’d say Holding has experienced more of these playing for Arsenal for around 100 games and playing about 30 games in Europe, having also captained them on occasion.

I reckon Holding comes in.

wilder has to be big and brave enough to drop his captain and bring holding in and play anel left side or keep him in and revert back to a back 3 but holding surely has to come in now for the remaining 4 games and play off semis
I can't see it! 😩

Don't be surprised when he's still starting Friday! It's the Wilder way.

Greatest myths of our time. Trump is a great businessman. Robinson has a “never say die” attitude. His head is the first to drop, as he skulks back into position following another error. Making a late desperate tackle when caught out of position, shouting at the ref and unnecessarily grappling with players at every set piece do not demonstrate leadership. Leaving aside his technical deficiencies, we needed a true captain this week, rallying the troops and pulling everyone together on the pitch. He has amply demonstrated that he isn’t the man for the job.
No fan of Trump myself as a person, but to say he's not a good businessman is a bit naive, granted he's no Kevin mcabe or chansiri, but he's not doing bad, I wouldn't mind being 15 golf courses and a few manhattan skyscrapers behind him

I apologise, as this isn't the place for any form of political discussion, so I wont be drawn further save to say that for me an empire based on family inheritance, six bankruptcies, and proven fraud/corruption demonstrates many things, but not necessarily being a good businessman. But each to their own, and let's get back to the football. We need two back to wins desperately and let's hope Wilder kicks us back into winning ways!!

Thing is, what is Wilder more likely to do out of these 2 options?

Publicly come out in an interview, slate him and announce that he is dropping his Captain, like a certain manager did in regards to a Keeper.

Or just drop him anyway, without needing to make a whole interview about it.

I like Robbo, while he's made mistakes I think he's been decent for us most of the time, but he has to be dropped as he looks completely shot of confidence, and the more he's playing and making mistakes, the more his confidence is taking a beating, which is probably why he's been reacting like he has to incidents in games.

He needs a spell on the bench, not just for the sake of the team, but for his own sake as well.

Which manager has the bigger balls Farke or Wilder.

Farke took Meslier out of the starting 11 becuase his errors were costing them points.

Wilder is always the same with error making players..leaves them in place.
Robinson is about as bad at defending as Meslier is at goalkeeping.

Wilder made a huge rod for his own back by making him captain when Arblaster got injured. Speaks volumes that Souttar captained us, as a loanee, on his debut.

If there was anybody we gave the captaincy too, I'd sooner give it to Cooper as the bloke who's turned up in pretty much every game he's played, no shouting and kicking off, barely any calamitous errors and simply does his job very well every week.

That actually is a very good comparison & much as I think Farke is limited - you have to say Wilder is the same. Hats off to Farke … eventually after error after error and massive fan pressure - he too Meslier out of the firing line & good for him it worked. Wilder needs to do the same & also take Robbo out of the firing line. I don’t dislike Robbo - he really does give 100% - but he makes a lot of errors & that then affects the confidence of the rest of the back 4 and how we play.

I don't doubt that Robinson needs taking out but it would help if the 6 playing in front of him were able to create and convert some chances and despite what Wilder says, didn't try to defend 1 goal leads.

Maybe but he's still a billionaire
Because he inherited 5 blllion
Which by all acouunts he has lost most of and is in fact not a billionaire at all
That's why he was convicted of fraud for vastly over valuing his own wealth and property values

He never learnt from the Lunny situation.

Funnily enough I think he is the nearest thing we do have to Chris Morgan, for good and for bad. But that chest puffed out, clean em out approach was OK for mid 2000s, but it doesn’t really stand up 20 years later.

Chris Morgan was a fantastic leader, miles more dominant and had miles better reading of the game than Robbo, as shown by his performances in the Prem and his immense partnership with Kilgallon in the 2009 season where we were defensively one of the very best teams in the league.

Proper kingpin of the defence, something Robbo would never even come close to

Thank fuck he's dropped. Hopefully Holding is fit to start on Monday too, and then that'll be the last we see of him starting for this club 😍😍😍
Didn't anyone notice? We kept a clean sheet whilst Robbo was on the field. He helped us see the game out with his experience. First name on the team sheet for Turf Moor.
Love Chris

Wilder's comments after the game suggests that he'll be going for Robinson on Monday

Nice not to go into a panic when Holding has the ball at his feet C-3PO scared me to death in the same situations.
Did you miss it when Holding stood on the ball early on and let Meite through? Robinson would have gotten death threats for that.

Sadly not sure Holding is the answer. Defence didn’t look much better with him as replacement and he can’t apparently do 90 minutes. Afraid that not finding a quality replacement for Soutts is going to cost us promotion. Hope I’m wrong.

His first start, Anel looked to drive forward due to trust in him, Holding made a couple of small mistakes, the one in the first half he kicked the advertising board. Other than that a very good display for someone that hasn't played much in 2 years.
I see him as a proper leader, a good defender, a class act.
HE STAYS IN THE TEAM.

On the flipside it was nice seeing Rob Holding and Calum Chambers share the field again.

Just needed Jack Wilshire and Aaron Ramsey and it would have been like the Arsenal of yesteryear

He looks a million times better than Robbo.

A lot calmer on the ball and didn't do too much wrong.

I'd have to go somewhere in the middle of you both lol.

Did look more composed than Robinson but also did make mistake and a few times ball came into our box it seemed a bit like panic stations.

Overall I don't think Holding or Robinson is the answer going forward, but would prefer Holding for now.
