Just to reiterate.

Getting somebody in a headlock is a red card in a match which has VAR enabled..

For those that struggle with the sentence.. I'm sorry you're ok in your own world.

Surely enough is enough.

He's been a good signing overall, but he's costing us too regularly now.
We absolutely know that Anel & Robinson don't work together.

Let's just have a look at Holding, hey?

Too late

Not many Sheffield United players in our history I'd say I hate, but he makes the list.

Since the day he signed its been blatantly clear he isn't good enough. Absolute bombscare of centre half that does his best give a silly goal away every week.

But even more so, he comes across as an absolute prick and a liability mentally.

He spends 90 minutes a week scrapping with players, screaming at officials, and generally being a dirty little shithouse but without any of the required subtlety to be good at it. How he's not been sent off more times for us I'll never know.

Somehow, despite all of the above, he's wormed his way to the captaincy. Boils my piss.

Get him gone.
As a captain, is he an inspirational leader?
You see more of him than I do, so what's his qualities,
not just physical, but as an intelligent footballer?
Is he a good defender but not captain level for a
club the demands of the levels Sheffield United aspire to?
He hasn't got any qualities. He's shite! & a thug fuck him off Wilder or you will fall on your sword.

As a centre half pairing Anel and Robinson are awful and should never of played together after last season, they both need replacing utter dog💩
Sadly i think you're right. As bad as Robinson was/is, mouse-heart Anel has no stomach for the fight. Consistently now, when the going gets tough, he goes missing...

He definitely shouldn't be captain. Other than yelling at the ref (which just leads to the referee telling him to shut up) what are his leadership abilities? He's not leading by example because usually he's the one making the most mistakes. He's not a calming presence on the pitch. Just a year ago he got into a fight with his own teammate (Souza).
Unless he has some leadership qualities in the dressing room we don't see he's not remotely qualified to be captain.

im like jay mceveley 10yrs ago. i never want to see Robinson in sheffield united shirt again. that running after someone for fight ive seen was complete embarrassment considering his incompetence we had to sit through

today is final straw. yes wilder has critics. but i said during the game. why is it everytime, we are under pressure defensively, Robinson is at the bottom of it. & no coincidence that how he was apart of the worst defence in english history. he sits on the bench & we keep 9 clean sheets. hes back in & we conceded 22 goals in 20 games.

hes a complete liability. he was lucky to get away the chokehold. at fault for the corner where the equaliser came from. admittedly i have seen a replay of 2nd goal. i was that furious. but it wouldnt surprise me if Robinson lost his man for that 1

Lots us sussed Robinson years ago as a weak link, we should have got rid of him ages ago but unbelievably, we have only tried to replace him once, with Souttar. Massive mistake making Robinson captain as that probably makes him undropplable in Wilder's eyes. To pair Robinson and Anel together again after last season's debacle, is stupid.

Very poor judgement from Wilder to be talking to Robinson to offer a new deal - and worrying that Wilder can't see what we all see - that Robinson is sh1t.

Much as you can not doubt Robinson’s effort and commitment, he is error prone and consequently makes the rest of the defence nervous. Just look at the stats with Souttar and now with Robinson after Souttar’s injury. Thing is we all knew this last season & we all knew this at Christmas when Souttar got injured. So it is not hindsight….. a lot of us knew what was coming if we went with Robinson.

So for these next 4 games I’d take the heat off Robbo and put Holding in & see what happens - see if he can instil more calmness. Also will mean we do not have to rely on long throws and can be more creative perhaps. Not sure we have actually scored many goals from long throws anyway.

A culture carrier. I’m just not sure what the culture is supposed to be. Something to do with pashun, I expect.
Being a little thug who likes to hit people? Apparently this is the guy Wilder wants as a role model for the club he loves. Which tells you all you need to know about Wilder's personality.

We could probably have signed Dunne and Darling and still had a few million left over with the Canon money.

Robbo is an average defender. It's bizarre that a replacement for Souttar wasn't lined up. The situation with Holding is similarly odd. If he isn't better than Robbo, then what was the point of signing him?

Apparently Robbo was slagging the fans in the first half today? That's unforgivable if so especially for a sell out away end and a game hundreds of miles from home. The fans gave vocal support from the start. Wilder set the tone with his comments last week. Set a bad example. It's too late to be backtracking now. The damage is done. Focusing on a tiny minority of critical fans at Oxford instead of focusing on tactics and performance is bad management. It's down to an inability to cope with pressure. Wilder has time to turn it around for the playoffs. Hopefully he can. The odds are against but it's not impossible. Play the best team, drop the liabilities. Wilder showed his ruthless side with Mark Duffy but allowed Lundstram to make a fool of him.

Apparently Robbo was slagging the fans in the first half today?
Yes. Fans were getting frustrated with the sideways backwards football at the back instead if getting the ball forward. The captain started having a go at the fans whilst the game was going on. He did approach the fans at half time to try a placate things.

Robbo is the new Lundstram. In terms of Wilder won't drop him even when his performances are costing the side. A tad harsh on Robbo as he tries whereas Lundstram just didn't give a damn and wanted out.

Seriously, you hate him? I love his never say die attitude and leave it all out there. I don't think he is good enough for what we currently need, but hate him??
It's a low bar if he makes your list.

And the consequence of ending up having to sign Holding at the last minute also means that we have ended up wasting 4 months of salary on Gilchrist due to the loan rules…… so we are paying Gilchrist & Holding to either sit on the bench or not even make the squad. If I were the owner - if we don’t go up….id want answers come the end of the season. Honestly, signing players and just not using them is madness.

Today's achievements from the skipper.

1. Comical defending let their player in on goal, Souza saved his blushes and got injured in the process.
2. He lost his man from the following corner which led to the equalizer.
3. His attempted clearance soon after dropped straight to their player who slotted in the winner.
4. He and Wilder tried to start a scrap in the tunnel after the game.

He has no business to be still playing, never mind being captain.

Greatest myths of our time. Trump is a great businessman. Robinson has a “never say die” attitude. His head is the first to drop, as he skulks back into position following another error. Making a late desperate tackle when caught out of position, shouting at the ref and unnecessarily grappling with players at every set piece do not demonstrate leadership. Leaving aside his technical deficiencies, we needed a true captain this week, rallying the troops and pulling everyone together on the pitch. He has amply demonstrated that he isn’t the man for the job.

Don't forget the WWE move in the first half which could easily have seen him sent off, a penalty or free kick....

That is a big problem - we do not have a strong leader on the pitch who can take the game by the scruff of the neck. Same situation as last season(although less of an impact as we were rubbish).
