It's almost like relying on click bait articles to generate revenue isn't sustainable for The Star. If they went and did some actual journalism then maybe they'd get some subscriptions.
How many times have the Stir written stories based on something that's been written on here?

Listening to FH tonight with giddings and a blade texted in saying Wednesday were happy when he was spending money but now mardy because he's stopped spending. Giddings had a dig that it has nothing to do with that, you can tell they aren't happy with blades fans

I’m not a financial expert. But I’d say it kinda does 🤷

Staton is clearly quite knowledgeable (albeit it’s his job so he should be) but he does have quite a condescending manner particularly when fans give opinions which he disagrees with.

Said it before a few times that RS are really good for match commentary and coverage particularly compared with some other stations.

Surely the whole point in having radio shows with a phone in capability is for others to share their views and provoke debate not just to shut down people who disagree.

I get that the whole Wednesday situation is a talking point and their fans are feeling pissed off but after years and years of them lauding it up over other local fans due to a few years in the 1990s, they are getting a bit back and mostly in jest rather than malice.

RS will always be good for match day commentary. Can never really fault it, although I do miss Edwards and Asaba on co-comms.

It's the arrogance of a Wednesday fan coming out in Rob. He wants Blades fans to shut up and be quiet. As if we were never going to pipe up over all this?

They clearly picked sides on Kevin McCabe/ PA and Wilder/PA and Wilder/COH, in that they misjudged the feelings (and numbers) of those who disagreed with them. Clearly learning nothing they’ve done the same over the belief United fans aren’t entitled to comment. Perhaps we need incoherent attendance fixated hooligan boasting ex jailbirds to call in. They never had a problem with that.

Exactly, although did Rob really not expect comments back on social media from Blades fans about the Wednesday chaos? as if their fans were not all over our points deduction and play off failure?

You cannot on social media just say: Please Blades fans you must not comment on this matter. Think of the mental health of the the club staff etc.

Local papers don't get money from journalists getting tagged on Twatter. Can see why it's frustrating, they've done the story after all and have a job to try and keep.

Nobody would click it, but seems like the original piece should be quoted to be fair. Fairly standard practice anywhere else, to reference the source.

Otherwise it's just accounts on twitter, growing their audience, on news they didn't write.

Just stop listening, I have.

Peoples comments on here match exactly my thoughts when I listened.

I don't miss it one bit, as it was becoming rinse and repeat on FH

I did hear a bit of the Barnsley special and listening to something other than the love in over S6 was good, although it did return to S6 when the first Barnsley supporter called in.
Made his points about Barnsley and made a passing comment about the situation in S6 and what did the presenter focus on, yes, his comment about S6.

Turned straight back to Radio2.
