As well as C.Chambers, various reports suggest Holding is also for sale. Strange as he's actually Arsenal's best defender. I wonder if we might look into signing whoever is best value, or both...!

Realistically they're both going to want guaranteed first team football though, so will probably get 100k a week at Villa or Fulham 😒

Are Arsenal having to sell quite a few players just to give Aubameyang his new contract?

Seems to be correct.....if so it's a shoddy display by Arsenal. I hope they don't spout any 'community' bollocks if this has legs. Surely a club of their size should be able to retain their staff whilst looking to improve their playing staff?
I think they could easily be classed as the worst run club in the country. They are absolutely baffling

Clearly we're not party to the runnings of their inner sanctum, but with the money they must generate - match days, merchandise, tv rights and whatever else they can expect to generate, it must run into the tens of millions. Ok, they have a far larger wage bill than the Blades, but even taking this into consideration they should be on the right side of solvency, surely?

If any stray Gooners are watching, your opinion on your club and the suggested staff lay-offs would be welcome.

Maybe opposite.
I always thought they were a club which wouldn’t go down the route of paying too much and losOMG silly amounts. But since the new stadium they have been struggling to manage repayments and remain competitive.
All the fucking entitled cockney wankers will be crying into their designer clobber about their dreadful season in the top 6-8 in the country!
Another 5 years and they will be mid table, all the good work for decades by Wenger at youth level undone and just another club hoping that their past name and advantage over the little guys will win them something

5 Years?? It’ll be this season, unless they sort themselves out sharpish.

Leeds apparently sniffing around after they were blown out over Ben White.

In the Egan role. That's the thing. He'd be a good signing if we had 20 Cup/European games, but he probably won't sign as back up.

I’d take Chambers and Holding but as mentioned only within our existing wage structure. We do need to be able to play without one of JOC, Egan and Bash as it’s unlikely we can go through most of the season again without injury or suspension and there’s a clear drop off in quality between them and the current understudies. However I can’t see any way we’d be in for both and for what they’ll want in wages I think we could do a lot better.

He's not that bad, in fact his style of play probably suits our style of play pretty well

"Though often seen through a satirical lens, the Rob Holding ‘routine’ in Arsenal’s hours of need this season has proved very effective. When needing to see out a game, when under stress, Holding has proved adept at coming in as a “backs to the wall” defender to deal with aerial threats and snuff out late chances. Coming off the substitute’s bench 6 times in the Premier League this season, Arsenal have won 5 of those games and conceded 1 goal with Rob Holding on the pitch; Rodri’s winner against Manchester City"

Personally can't beat experiences and knowledge great signing at a lower price 6-8 million 👏

Anyone suggesting throwing millions of our 'limited' budget at a player like Rob Holding, "just for some prem experience"..... has quite frankly lost the plot.

He really isn't a good player and would like struggle to make an impact in a Championship team.

Only started 6 games this season for the Arse and they conceded on average over 2 goals per game during that time which is almost double the amount they've conceded throughout the rest of the season.

Don't go near him, don't touch him, don't even think about him..... It would be like setting fire to money we would NEVER get back.

We really going to write players off based on the opinion of Arsenal fans? If it wasn't for the existence of pigs and Forest fans then i think the Arsenal fans would be the favourites for the title of "Most arrogant and deluded tosspots".

They expect their centre backs to play like De Bruyne on the ball ffs.

Saliba’s injury, causing Holding having to play was a big reason arsenal slipped up. They’ve now benched Holding for a youngster and he’s much better than Holding. He wouldn’t be bad for us, but 5m would be the most id pay for him, and of course his wages would be a lot. And Egan and Anel are both clear.
