Oxford Utd 22yo Left footed CB

Best player rating for L1 CB this season. most aerial challenges won in L1

2nd overall in highest rated L1 players this season (7.45)

Feel like this is the kind of player we should be looking at in the long term replacement/Backup for Egan/JOC.

Oxford Utd just lost the playoff semi-final which he scored in
 

Elliot Embleton looks decent based on last night for Blackpool, but Sunderland will no doubt want him back next season as he's on loan from there.
 
They also conceded 6 against Blackpool in two games... Blackpool getting promoted would be a huge shock when there team on paper is league 2

a lot of the sunderland players are decent imo, all depends on if they go up or not but embleton is a good shout if they dont overturn that 2-0 deficit in the playoffs today

Don’t know anything about him but Wikipedia says he’s from Chesterfield.

Good player and well thought of at OUFC. Question whether he's ready for (hopefully) top end Champ. Bristol City have apparently expressed an interest
 

Now JCS has gone to QPR i'd love us to take a look at this lad, only 23yo, tall left footed CB who also plays LB, was Bristol City's best rated player last season (whoscored) and was best rated at Oxford season before

Can't help but feel this year will be his breakthrough and he seems a perfect fit for us, he is even from down the road! (Chesterfield). He'd be available for £3-£4m, reminds me of the kind of transfer JOC/Egan was at the time, all possible if we sell Berge

I can't see us picking off better players from from a divisional rival Bongle unless it's someone not wanted by that club and Bristol appear to be going for it a bit more this summer. I can't see them selling him for £3-4m if he's only been there a season.

We maybe should have gone for him last summer but we went for the loan option in Davies. I would have much preferred a signing like this!

Yeah it is unfortunate, i think if we were a team like WBA who seem to be strengthening (rather than cutting back like us) we might look at signings like this.

Still... i think outgoings give us hope to have some sort of transfer kitty, but as you say it's more doubtful them being players already in the Championship

I would be shocked if we spent £1 million tbh. Unless Berge was definitely off.
 
Gutted… ACL injury, he was Bristol City’s best rated player this season before tbe injury

Feel like this wouldve been someone we’d have looked at, consistently his club’s best rated player every season and couldve been ready for the PL step up
