West Brom apparently getting Murphy AND Montero.

So it will be impressive recruitment from them but it looks like they're signing two wingers to replace Barnes, rather than any one player who can play the same position. But I would've thought they'd only start one of them, due to having two top strikers. Those two behind Rodriguez would be good though.

With Holgate signing as well, their squad will be stronger, but I'm not sure it will make up for Barnes' impact.

But in the summer they'll be under a transfer embargo so they won't be able to replace the players they've offloaded. I suppose the 'calculated gamble' could be that they're hoping to make the play-offs, as their owner has hinted at.

Or they are reasonably confident that they will avoid a Summer embargo, come what may....Reach, Joao & Bannan are contracted until 2021 so they would get a decent fee for them both now and in the summer, but as you say, couldn't replace them.....

Fairy only until 2020 and you just know he would let it run down to go on a free.....doesn't look as though Norwich will turn the deal for Rhodes into a permanent either.

They are under an embargo and can’t do very much inwards. Blows my mind they haven’t tried to cash in on one or two - get massive wages off the books and maybe allow Bruce the option of some wiggle room.

It’s a squad full of mercenaries - with infighting and factions. They had one shot at promotion with those contracts and luckily missed the boat.

Their bargaining power is only gonna get worse as their contracts wind down and they are still up against ffp.

The attacking winger Dan James transfer from Swansea City to Leeds United is officially OFF.

Swansea never wanted to sell but the player has kicked up a stink and forced Swansea to accept the. 5 million offer from Leeds.

Apparently Leeds were 99% confident the deal would go through and had all their paperwork agreed and signed, medical done.
But the powers at Swansea for some unknown reason didn’t show any urgency and failed to sign the papers before the deadline.
Apparently Leeds are furious about it and were counting on this addition.

They've signed Johanson as well from Fulham. Slightly worrying but I believe having Wilder at the helm for us, gives us an advantage over a more inexperienced Darren Moore. Wilder not only has experience he's a proven winner. We are also stronger than we were at the beginning of the window of course.
