The point HarrisBlade is making is that everyone has to evidence source of funds for anti-money laundering purposes. It's a regulatory requirement. It aims to prevent naughty people buying houses with dirty money and selling them in the future and receiving clean money. Placement i think it's called. Or possibly Layering. Fuck knows!

Anyway, be jolly nice if we can sign this guy wouldn't it.

When we moved last year no one would take us seriously unless we had a mortgage, lost out on a couple

We moved last year we could view properties but they wouldn't take our offers seriously without the mortgage guaranteed
We lost out on a couple of houses because of that.

Times really have changed. The last time I bid on a house I left my kids as a deposit, they soon accepted.

It's a lot easier when you can just brute force it with money with no fear of repercussions.
“How much for Dias?”
“£50m”
“Done. And heres another... oooh, lets say £5m on top to make sure he’s here by teatime and you dont answer the phone to anybody else after”
“Hmmm... Can you make it an extra £10m?”
“Make it £15m and dont bother me again”
“Wont UEFA have an issue with..”
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!”
— Call ends —

Have friends trying to view houses currently, been told not only do they need a mortgage in principle, estate agents won't book viewings in unless they've actually sold their house, I.e. cash buyers. And people thought Covid would kill the housing market. Two on our road have sold within a week of the board going up.

Housing market is phenomenal, mortgage market in the mud currently

The announcement video should refer to all the discussion points of this rumour thread.

Though that'd take even longer than usual.

Heard stories of houses quickly going g to sealed bids and housed listed at 300k going for over 350
High deposit customers are laughing, the people who are selling because the prices are high and have loads left over are just swamping the market. First time buyers or low deposit customers might aswell not bother tbh unless they can snaggle a new build on help to buy

Well big Johnny ses so.....

400 pages if it's Thursday, reckon we might break 1k if we have to wait for Friday tea time.

1/20 odds now, looks certain to sign! Surely within the next 24/48 hours in time for arsenal
Surely you're not expecting him to be in the starting eleven ?
The last striker we signed for £17m is usually on the bench.
If the speed of this transfer is any indication , he might get in the side by Christmas.

He's just started following Dean Hammond, just hasn't been posted yet as nobody can see it.

United and Liverpool now probably bickering about what colour ink to sigh the contracts in. Another 3 day delay as this is mediated by the Premier League.

Wait a fucking minute. We buying a player to Live in here? Because he doesn't look very spacious to me. :/

Some worrying stats emerging...

At an average 12 seconds to read a post, 20 posts per page and close to 300 pages, those of us who have been following this all the way through have invested approaching 20 hours on this thread, before factoring in additional time for scrutinising ornithology pictures and time spent on crafting thoroughly researched and well thought out contributions ourselves. With a conservative estimate of 50 of us following this saga for the ages, that's about 1,000 hours of lost time.

I can see a class action looming if we don't get this done. Although some have admitted to doing this on work time, others of us are doing this as overtime on penalty rates. Can the club really afford that?

I'm willing to drop the case if he signs tomorrow!
