I smell a signing announcement tomorrow 👀👀

🔜🔛🚽
He will be signing. All the signs are there. Probably signing right now so he is signed up in time to play Sunday and maybe sign a few autographs.

I can completely understand if we don't have the money. We've already spent north of £50 million of this year's transfer budget. We're in the middle of a global pandemic and worldwide recession. The TV money is uncertain given who knows whether this season will be fully completed. I can understand our owners being extremely cautious.

My worry is that we're in for either Brewster or Balogun and that there's no plan b. It could be all smoke and mirrors, but Chris must know how much money there is to play with. Unless he's pushing for more.

50 m where

I'll only believe it when we've sold him back to Liverpool in 4 years time, after he's banged in 50 goals for us. And even then I won't believe it cos it's incredible what you can do with CGI these days. You can't be too careful you know...

Couple here..

Berge, Ramsdale, Lowe, Bogle, Ampadu.

Tbh, taking that together with the assets being bought for ~£48m, plus the plans to upgrade the training facilities, coupled with the drop in revenue due to Covid, it’s probably not such a surprise that we are at our limits if we invest another £20m.

Bad planning then if we leave ourselves short in an area of the pitch where we are crying out for some firepower.

Are we going to leave ourselves short, or are we just reaching the end point on this particular target? We don’t know that today.

I think it's clear Brewster is no.1 on the list hence why we keep going back in for a nibble.

Hopes up, hopes down, hopes up, hopes down

More articles suggesting club are unwilling to pay what Liverpool want. Balked at price

I think tbf, that seems pretty obvious. The fact we are still talking to a number of clubs about possible signings says we just can't find the money

I think as is the usual case with twatter...........................................same shit different day

I'm not sure it's fair to accuse the club of bad planning since the pandemic has cost the club £20-30 million.

If we're trying to sign players we know we can't afford, it would seem like a daft waste of time.

I'm surprised we've not used the loan market more given the financial situation tbqf

Can you tell me which clubs have a NET spend over £50m? Genuinely interested.

I love how some of our fans seem to think we can just spend money like there are lots of people at the club happy to just give us millions and millions as long as they get a complimentary Peroni and a chat with Chris.
