I can completely understand if we don't have the money. We've already spent north of £50 million of this year's transfer budget. We're in the middle of a global pandemic and worldwide recession. The TV money is uncertain given who knows whether this season will be fully completed. I can understand our owners being extremely cautious.

My worry is that we're in for either Brewster or Balogun and that there's no plan b. It could be all smoke and mirrors, but Chris must know how much money there is to play with. Unless he's pushing for more.

My concern is, if it's true that it's now out of Wilder's hands as he has already illuded to and we miss out on his signing, CW may see this as an obvious lack of ambition from the board and he quits through sheer frustration. Just hope I'm wrong.
