That’s it then, I’m putting in for a transfer. I’m not mixing with you lot. It’s the South Stand for meAfter tough negotiations with Foxy, I'm staying on for another year. No increase though.
Despite threats of retirement, The Crab decides to hang around for a bit longer.
With no immediate rebuild of the kop it was thought vorpal blade would be released, but Foxy wants an extension to the Rumour Mill, so another is retained.

Is it? He signed a two year deal up to 2018 and thought he’d got a 1 year extension
Wonder if they’ve got anybody worth nicking that we could do a part exchange/swap for? Haven't followed them so dont know TBH, but might be a good solution for everyone.
As long as ALL our recruitment isnt from down there, I really dont see a problem with cherry picking the odd low-risk youngster. Why would we not?Shopping in league 1 again. That’s the way forward!!

Point I made with Long was that if we were binning him off anyway, we might use him as leverage to put us in pole position should Wimbledon have anyone we fancied. If not, we dont bother- I’m not familiar enough with them to know if they have any highly rated youngsters worth having, but if they do and there are a few in for them, Long might be a handy bargaining chip.
I've made the point before that we could have had Jamie Vardy from non-league and many on here would have complained at the time.
He would have been judged 'crap' because he didn't cost enough.
Obviously Madine, Rhodes and Assombalonga are miles better as they cost more.

Wouldn't harm splashing out on a 5mil striker though, could be the difference between 9th and the playoffs

I agree in general- my whole post was pointing out we SHOULD still be looking down there. Why would it be a problem if all of our recruitment was from League 1? If we signed 11 players like John Fleck (different positions, obviously) from League 1 (like we did with Fleck) then would anybody be complaining?
Personally I couldn't care less which league they're from as long as they're good enough to improve our team. I've made the point before that we could have had Jamie Vardy from non-league and many on here would have complained at the time.
Or how about we 'splash out' on a striker who actually will be the difference regardless of what he cost, instead of someone who could be the difference because he's comes with a large price tag. We could have splashed out on £8m Jordan Rhodes, he won't have been the difference.
I think he would have been.
Rhodes? Maybe, I think he would have done better here then with Wednesday, but I was referring to his form this season
Can't believe we gave Hanson 2 and a half years. Fuck me....
Lavery isnt out of contract this year. Wilson (defender) is a Lincoln City player.Don't think we have many out of contract. Lavery maybe? James Wilson (CB, not the Man U one)? Long? Reed? Think the likes of Lafferty, Ched, Carruthers, Thomas, Hanson etc. all have another year or 2 left. Think all of the first teamers are still under contract. Loans of Wilson and Blackman will come to an end with them returning to their parent clubs. I hope we can do a deal to bring Blackman back.
I reckon he’d be pushing 20 goals in this United team this season
