Isn't that for red wine stains?
Hell knows. Just an excuse to buy a couple of bottles of wine

Isn't that for red wine stains?
Just spat my tea out laughing. Double likeIf you want a red wine stain, red wine's certainly worth considering as a staining agent.....
You could equally ask the question 'why should a company sponsor a shirt where fans remove your logo, given part of the point in sponsoring said shirt is to have several thousand mobile adverts as a result?'
If I weren't a communist and if I were a used car salesman and if I had just paid out to have my company's branding on a football shirt then I would have had made sure I'd had a decent graphic designer create my logo for me.
Given that said 'Swiss Tony', sells cars like Mercedes, Bentley, Audi, and Porsche (I think?) all of which have stylish badges on their bonnets and hub-caps, they should have come up with something better than they have done.
If thats too rude then I do agree that the graphic would be OK on a shopfront but on a white patch ironed on the shirt it reflects badly. It should have been better if it were a black line graphic with no white patch background and a bit bigger.
John Holland Sales have kindly spent a lot money sponsoring our club, joined the forum to introduce themselves and we have a thread on trying to remove their logo from the shirt.........
If it was my company who was the sponsor then I would not be very happy if the club sold a shirt (replica or not) without my company logo on it, especially given what the sponsorship deal may have cost me in the first place! In fact I would actually insist it was part of the sponsorship deal that either of the above did not happen! Whether I am a Blade or not, advertising is advertising and the more people who buy the replica shirts the more advertising exposure I would get.
This is exactly why I'm against having a sponsor on the back of the shirt, no matter who it is. If there's one there, I won't buy the shirt.I might be wrong but I don't think people have anything against John Holland Sales. However, you can't really deny that the execution is poor at best.
It's the same with the logo on the back of the shirt. It's not DBL that people have an issue with, it's that there's a sponsor's logo there in the first place.
EDIT: Worksop_Blade beat me to it!
It's a slippery slope that leads to monstrosities like this:

you throw red wine on it, then white wine!
I'd consider you correct but with one exception. I don't personally think it is on to have advertising on the mini kits, that being full kits for kids of around 5 and under. The idea of young children being walking placards doesn't sit easy with me, and for that reason my kids won't be wearing them. I'll simply get them training gear (without sponsor) instead.
What we need is a forum member with more money than sense to buy up a few shirts and then test out various options for us.

Same here but the training/casual wear is crap.I can see your point and my kids will be doing exactly the same as yours. Kits in my opinion are too over commercialised which is why I don't buy them anymore. I'd much sooner buy a nice looking polo shirt with the club badge on and wear that.

Alternatively I could have other things to be doing, such as diving in the crystal clear waters off Cyprus![]()

Well let me know the next time you're out there and i'll join you![]()
I'm diving tomorrow and Saturday too![]()
I'm not really fond of the Med as a diving destination unless it's a Wreck dive. The waters may be crystal clear, but there's usually fuck all sea-life to see![]()
If that doesn't appeal dunk yourself and the shirt in Hydrocloric acid. That will certainly remove the logo.
