CW not hanging about.

You mean I can’t keep the car I hire on holiday? Why not, I’ve paid £200 for that bugger, it’s mine, mine I tell you!

Just keep it mate. No problem. Don’t worry if your driving causes a major RTA, even if it kills or maims third parties, think nothing of it. The insurance will cover it...

That’s okay then. Just got to lose the German plates and convert it to right hand drive now. I can get a kit for that off of the Amazon, be a piece of piss. Will the wireless still get that groovy German rock channel though?

Out-of-contract players Paul Coutts Conor Washington, Daniel Lafferty and Caolan Lavery will also leave.

Contracted players Leon Clarke, Jake Wright, Ched Evans, Samir Carruthers, Nathan Thomas, Ben Heneghan and Ricky Holmes have been placed on the transfer list.

Loanees Dean Henderson, Kieran Dowell, Scott Hogan, Gary Madine and Marvin Johnson all return to their parent clubs, with Henderson strongly linked with a permanent move to the Blades this summer.

SHEFFIELD UNITED manager Chris Wilder says that releasing midfielder Paul Coutts was the hardest decision of his career after finalising the club's retained list.

Coutts, 30, a star of the Blades' promotion to the Championship two years ago, was the headline name on the club's list of departees as the club prepare for life in the Premier League next season.

The Scottish midfielder spent almost a year on the sidelines after suffering a horror leg break in a game at Burton in November 2017 and found it hard to re-establish himself at first-team level in 2018-19.

On the exit of Coutts, who was out of contract in the summer, Wilder said: "Sitting down with Paul was the hardest thing I have done in my career. "It is really unfortunate, his story. But he is on board. He understands.

"We are giving him the opportunity to find a new club. He is desperate to play.

"He wants to play 30 or 40 times a season and, unfortunately, we just cannot guarantee him that."

Also leaving Bramall Lane when his deal expires at the end of June is versatile defender Martin Cranie, 32, who made a key contribution in the run-in.

We’ve put all those lads in a very high end shop window. Cranie will get snapped up for his cross a WBA alone.

Some of our youngsters could be out of contract in June. Possibly Slater, Norrington-Davies, Mallon, Dewhurst, Cantrill, Greaves, Oure, Ferguson?
Somebody (Ball_Sup (Phil) ) might know more ?

Alongside Coutts I'm gutted Cranie has gone, he's been fantastic stepping in for us this season and can count himself unlucky to not be more of a mainstay given some of his performances. And what a character off the pitch too, his rendition of Angels last night... say no more

so does this mean we are keeping Bryan?? get the feeling Wilder must have seen something in him in training, he was certainly in the celebrations in a big way, maybe we will see next year

Wow, I'm gutted that Coutts & Cranie are going. Coutts has been my favourite player in a Blades shirt for years. Classy footballer that just never really recovered from an absolute cunt of an injury.

They will both definitely get another club & hopefully they are both championship ones.

Gutted...

Gutted to lose Crainie. I also see we keep Lundstram. Crainie hasn't put a foot wrong and I can't understand losing him unless CW/AK/PM have a plan in position for that position. I have given Lundstram grief since he arrived but acknowledged that he has never played where I think he would do well and that he has improved since he arrived. If he does play I hope he becomes the backline cover who is going to take 11 yellow cards for the season breaking up attacks. He is never going to have a rapid turning circle to get back to help, but if he plays everything in front of him and wipes it out where necessary he will do a job.

I'd post my recruitment wishlist too but I'm having too much of a hard time deciding between Calum Chambers or Harry Wilson on loan while trying to keep it all British and Irish...

Every manager of a club outside the top 6 this season should be on the phone to cranie's agent tonight offering him a contract.

Coutts will always be a legend at this club. Always forget the grief he was getting under Clough and Adkins but there was always a quality player in there, just needed a quality manager to get it out of him. Hope he gets a championship club but I think the injury has really done him and it might be back to L1 unfortunately. He'd absolutely rip it up at Sunderland or Pompey whichever don't go up

Little bit surprised at Cranie leaving but I can understand the thinking. Sad to see Coutts go, but if he wants to start regularly it's the only option. I think Jake Wright would make a great coach so could we offer him a role in the Academy?

Anyone not on Blades Mad a few years ago won't know how those words will stick in your craw Ricky. :)

Are they both pacey though?

Sat listening to Angels on repeat roaring my eyes out.

Correct decision though for all, they deserve to play first team football which they wouldn’t get with us.

Sordell is a massive wanker.

Don't know what all the fuss is about , they can all come back at Christmas , we`ll be down by then !
