McBurnie ok but how much do you suspect he would be over our budget? Because he's going to smash both transfer pot and wage policy since he is the player of a rival who came down from the Prem?
As for Madine to quote Roy Kinnear, 'you're off your bleeding head Wonka.'
It’s academic anyway. He wasn’t for sale.

with Wilder managing him, he would be the full article, he was mis managed and sold on as unwanted baggage, a good manger, like CW would have honed his skills, tamed his wildly ways, we would have a quality striker we are in so need of now.

I'm pretty sure that the good manager, CW, decided to move him on rather than coach him.

Madine is top of L1 bottom four of Championship level at best. He would not have been a signing to kick us on. McBurnie was never going to come for us - he knew he would get a chance at Swansea and they have paracute payments to give him a wage we wouldnt have paid.

Yes, we probably could do with a quality addition up front, but it's early doors, Sharp has been scoring and Washington and Leon could come good.

An interesting viewpoint about Madine. Disregarding his baggage, ability wise, would you place him above or below Clarke?

Any proven Championship striker, averages 20+ goals a season, aged mid-20s, good record on not getting injured often. So we can choose between, erm, er, mmm,... Any suggestions?

Only seven players have scored more than twenty championship goals in the last three seasons.

Che Adams would have torn them a new one today, just sayin......

Adams manages to score one goal in almost five championship goals played.

The facts tend to show they aren't that prolific

Blame Carlos, if he's had kept Swansea up McBurnie may have been available to get.
He ticks the boxes of been the right age, some experience in this league in a struggling side but still managed to get a few goals.
He probably would have just been in our price range if Swansea were still in the PL.

To be fair to the lad his stats don't tell the full story; he was shit hot for 28 games for a poor Bolton side before his transfer to Cardiff, and some of his earlier career was spent having to juggle professional football with court appearances, bail, community service, prison and wearing an electronic tag. :D

That hot shit didn't materialise into goals though. Which appears to be the problem we have.

You forgot suspected arson....

I'm pretty sure the board made that decision.

To be fair, I don't think that any of us really know. However, whilst there was pressure to balance the books, and Adams was a valuable asset, I reckon if CW had fought to keep him, being so early on in his tenure, he would have persuaded the board. Before CW took the job, he had an outside interest in the club with many of his close mates being fans etc and at that time, Adams was perceived to be a disruptive influence on the squad. I think that is one of the main reasons why he was happy to let him go.

Wells = 3 games and no goals
Baldock = 7 games and 2 goals

Compare these to Sharp and McGoldrick and then factor in the fees and wages involved and I think we're winning.

Your not looking at how many chances we create tho. Wells and Baldock put McGoldricks chances away yesterday.

Is this for certain? Wells and Baldock have never missed a chance between them? Ronaldo was on the market in the summer as well, we may as well throw his name into it as he’s another one we can’t afford.

Your second bit anwers your own post and explains why we shouldn't sign him.

You also missed him calling Billy a 'fat little pig' on video. Classy!

An idiot scumbag thug with piggy baggage.

Hardly the ideal candidate to galvanise the club and get the fans behind the team.

All these “top quality” strikers that can’t get in their respective first teams. Are we in the market for expensive rejects who won’t compromise on their daft wages to actually play football?......... I hope not.
