Generally goalkeepers get far too much protection in those sort of situations so can fully understand the principle behind the referee not giving a foul even though it this case it probably was one, Cooper has to be stronger with his defence protecting him as well, not blaming the ref for that one.

Just seen replay, looks a foul all day long.

Thought ref did well TBF this game.

Probably contact on Coops, but even he'd want that one back. Hardly dragged him to the floor.

I hate to say it, but Cooper needs to let the ref know he’s been fouled in that situation. Most keepers would have been rolling around like they’d been shot. Cooper didn’t look like he thought it was a foul, and i think that contributed to him not getting it. Coopers a bit too honest, and if everyone else played the game that way too that would be great, but they don’t.

Not how I saw it, thought contact for sure, but contact doesn't = force. Id have to watch it back mate, could well be wrong
It doesn't have to equal force. He is holding Cooper down whilst "climbing" on him.

I mean, it doesn’t require much force to pull someone down when their hands at the top of their skull though to be fair, thought it were blatant but it didn’t affect anything so I’m not going to lose sleep over it

I'm starting to get the feeling I should watch it again 🤣

Exactly..... may be wrong, but didnt see any of our lot appealing

Var would have probably disallowed the goal. Tbf Coops was already falling when he was grabbed around the neck but you can't stop opposing players blocking a keeper at corners (unless there's physical contact).

I rewatched their keepers Cruyff turn and not sure Campbell made much contact - one angle on Sky ahjwwdy he didn't touch the keeper. Had he scored I'm 50/50 if VAR would have allowed it.

Awful ref!
Seems most of them are in the championship.
Pearson injured himself fouling Vini. Lost count of the number of bookable fouls from Gooch & Burger. Seriki denied a pen. Two red card challenges on Brewster within a minute. And he books Campbell for simulation? Clown.

Just remembered he was that ... individual who booked Osula for being fouled against Man City last season 😡

Watching Real Madrid vs Barcelona this evening.

There was an incident where a Real player went in for a sliding block and hit his hand = no penalty.

Reminded me of the Egan penalty incident vs Man City last season which was given.

Make it make sense!

He is up there as one of the worst referees I have ever seen. I am not normally critical of referees being a former amateur one myself but he needs removing from the EFL system. How he didn’t give a red for either of the challenges on Brewster which were both red cards never mind not even seeing the second for a yellow is unbelievable. There was also that free kick he gave and allowed them to take quickly 10 yards + in their half that drew Coops into that quality save.

The Sereki incident was bananas that’s a penalty all day long, when you watch the sky sports commentary (Stoke version) it makes me laugh on the Campbell one as the co-commentator says there is contact but not enough to warrant a penalty 🤣 for some reason that phrase winds me up as it’s either a penalty or it isn’t we don’t get stump cam out too measure how much contact !
