He's had his medical today so unless it's a kidnapping situation I think we can assume he wants to be here.

Agree to an extent but not sure it’s as simple as that.

Presume the Player still has to sign a contract even after we agree the fee… I’m not 100% sure MGW would have stayed even if we’d had an option we wanted to take up in the loan agreements

After the season MGW had is he going to sign for 30/40k a week (if we push the boat out) if he can get 140k from Everton or someone else? However much he loved it here, I’m not sure anyone could turn that down that money and opportunity tbh.
 
We all need to have patience and not expect him to be MGW this season. He's a young CAM with less experience and more likely to make a lot less of an impact. Personally think we need another CAM as well as Khadra to allow for this and take the pressure of him - very, very small market though for free / loan

Exactly why will always find it difficult if not impossible to establish ourselves in the EPL unless something monumental changes in our ability to meet top players wage demands.Unfortunately,our owners are just simply unable to provide the funds to compete with the capability and ambition,even though it may eventually end in failure,of ‘big’ clubs like Bournemouth,Brighton,Fulham,Nottm Forest etc.. who can at least make a serious attempt to attract the quality players that at least give you a chance of establishing the club in the top division.
 
If he has the required impact, and we get promoted, it turns into good business for both clubs, and the player.
If the deal is correct as Hal stated, then it’s a no brainer.

I think it’s unlikely that the same deal could have been made for MGW in the rush at the end of last summer.

Shall we put all that on the back burner and concentrate on winning promotion that's what matters for now.we have a real chance! Just have to make it happen.

That's because it was originally written in March and was talking about the new fifa rules on loan and how it will affect them . It was saying how clubs will need to be more strategic when loaning out players in future.

So basically it's done, but it's not done, he's had a medical but he's not had a medical, we might sign him permanently now or in the future he might play x games or not..... Hal in hedging bets Shocker....🤣

There's a whole thread of it's own about this, but if McBurnie scores just 1 goal for us this season I'll be pleased for him, especially if it's in a 1-0 win, but unfortunately I just can't see it happening!

If this turns out to be true, you have to take your hat off to the Board/Bettis/Owner/Manager etc - They learned the pitfalls of signing someone like MGW and the next time the opportunity arose, they build contracts to negate those issues. Smells a lot like a club being run as well as can be.
