He wouldn't and he isn'tKhadra would be an elite level signing. He’s a little push away from being a PL player.

Can't see how N'Diaye, Berge, Lawrence and Khedra all fit in especially with Billy and Brewster to play as a striker, and I also can't see us getting these players in to bulk the bench out.
What you know about footy you can write on the back of a first class stampHe wouldn't and he isn't
Sunjihi has been chased off these boards beforeI reckon sunjihi is on the money. It’s Davis

I think it's much more likely that Hemmingham is speaking about Khadra.
I really hope, like most if not all on here, that it is Khadra. Remember this performance! He's fat and yet so fast! Reminds me of John Robertson who Cloughy once said "We've got this little fat guy called John Robertson who will turn them inside out"! Sorry for mentioning Forest but its the best comparison I could think of! Still love Cloughy mind!
I dunno. The way he’s talking about it makes me think he’s talking both league games in which case it wouldn’t be Davis as he signed in jan.I reckon sunjihi is on the money. It’s Davis
That’s what I thought, I’m just clinging on to anything that suggests it’s DavisI dunno. The way he’s talking about it makes me think he’s talking both league games in which case it wouldn’t be Davis as he signed in jan.
And even if included play-offs wouldn’t Davis have played against us 3 times? So wouldn’t work with “both”
Why do people keep regurgitating this nonsense? Did last year not prove to you that you need more than 11 players over the course of the season?
We need a good SQUAD, not just XI, there is easily potential for 4/6 of those names to be in a match day starting 11, we also now have 5 subs to play with, if we want promotion then we need players like Lawrence, Khadra, Sharp on the bench instead of having to field a bench full of U18s once again
Players WILL pick up knocks and injuries, squad depth will take us up, and we won’t be signing anyone giving them guarantees about playing time - everyone fights for their place and they know it
Also Sharp is 36 turning 37 during the season ffs
also apologies if this comes off somewhat aggressive, I’m just tired of our lack of squad depth over the last couple of seasons and I’m personally buzzing for the gaffer to have a headache when choosing an XI, better competition makes everyone better! god knows some of these players have been needing it
All good points and I agree with the fact that more squad depth is definitely needed.
The negativity of my post was more aimed at the how we can afford all these, because the noises that have been coming out of the club over the past 12 months is we’ll have to scale back spending.
Although it’s clear I don’t know what I’m on about seeing as we’ve just splashed out on a new defender.
That is a lot of wonga per week for not much return (minus Didz)...Take into account the wages we’ve got off the books - Didz, Moose, Freeman, Burke, Hourihane etc, I think that’s one of the key factors for us being willing to go out and get some better players in, more so than transfer/loan fees
The remaining players have also had another wage cut this summer.Take into account the wages we’ve got off the books - Didz, Moose, Freeman, Burke, Hourihane etc, I think that’s one of the key factors for us being willing to go out and get some better players in, more so than transfer/loan fees

Where's this from dc?The remaining players have also had another wage cut this summer.
Yes, I read it recently. May have been something Bettis said but now I'm struggling to remember the source. But it was definitely someone who would know and whom I instantly believed. The line was that they'd had a cut after relegation and then another after failing to gain promotion last season.Where's this from dc?
I understand a clause if we got relegated to the Championship, but another one if we are still in the Championship??
But being still in the Championship for a second season guarantees a further cut in parachute payment does it not?Where's this from dc?

I believe so - just trying to get my head round how these cuts would be in a players contract. Has anyone got a link to what was actually said? But being still in the Championship for a second season guarantees a further cut in parachute payment does it not?
“The majority of players in our squad get a second reduction for being in the Championship for a second season,” explained Bettis.I believe so - just trying to get my head round how these cuts would be in a players contract. Has anyone got a link to what was actually said?
I say fat as a joke, he's not fad but for a footballer he's not the usual ultra trim build like everyone at United, bar perhaps Billy who gets called a fat lad as a result and really it's just a different build. But to say he is more well built he is absolute lightning, he moves past people like they're not there and off he really is fast like from the videos Adrian Littlejohn fast! Problem was he couldn't really do much with the ball with all due respect to Littlejohn, Khadra has really good control. I'd be over the moon if we could sign him on loan, I think it would be a genuine equivalent replacement for MGW - at least in terms of skill level. Whether he's got the consistency of MGW I don't know and he's a different player to MGW but he could be that good in my view.Wish I was only as "fat" as him............
That's reassuring.“The majority of players in our squad get a second reduction for being in the Championship for a second season,” explained Bettis.

“We would go bust if the parachute payments weren’t there, although we'd have done things differently.” Stephen Bettis

Before the pandemic me and the boy had 'just a fat lad from Sheffield t shirts' on when we were on holiday in Cornwall, a women said to me 'you aren't that fat', not you aren't fat but you aren't that fat', woundedWish I was only as "fat" as him............
Like Antony Knockaert in a way.Khadra would be an elite level signing. He’s a little push away from being a PL player.
