to be honest with you, i am not really certain about the ownership of Ferencvaros - is it SUFC or Mccabe or Scarborough Plc who owns them, and for that matter, Chengdu Blades and Central Coast Mariners and White Star Wolouwe and any other club we have apparent 'links' with?

I think the ruling only applies to an individual country but I'm not too sure.

Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) rules prevent one person owning more than one team participating in UEFA competitions.

Roman Abramovich was investigated by UEFA because one of his companies sponsors CSKA Moscow. He has no equity interest in CSKA, but McCabe does with us and Ferencvaros, so if both qualified for either the Champion's League or the Europa League then McCabe would have to sell one or the other.
Mind you, it's highly unlikely that we'd get into the Europa League, never mind the Champion's League.

I would suggest people are seeing Birch and putting two and two together and getting 5. We've not seen anything other that internet rumours from fans to even say Red Bull are looking at the English league.
