Edit - Now re-arranged for Wednesday 25th September.

Wednesday July 24th 2013 sees the latest in the Legends Of The Lane series of “An Evening With” taking place at Beautiful Downtown Bramall Lane!!

Due to popular demand, Legends are delighted to welcome one of the biggest characters to grace the red and white stripes of the Blades in the shape of the one and only Mr. Curtis Woodhouse - Master of the football field, boxing ring and scourge of Twitter!

Joining the Blades as a youngster, originally on the books at York City, Curtis progressed through the ranks setting the record of becoming Sheffield United FC’s youngest ever Captain.

Capped by England at U21 level he went on to forge a career encapsulating the Premier League, promotions and Play Off Finals before giving up the game to go and follow his first love and become a professional boxer - and with a massive degree of success!

His story is fascinating and will be guaranteed to be hilariously funny! Curtis still loves the Blades and always describes himself as a fan, so this is a night at the Lane not to miss!

Doors to Legends of the Lane* will open at 7.00pm and there will be, as usual, a complimentary pint of house beer, lager or a soft drink on arrival.

The Blades signature home made pie, peas and gravy will be served to your table at 7.30pm and the Q&A with our guest of honour will begin when tables are cleared at approximately 8.30pm - a licensed bar will, of course, be available throughout the evening and there will be waiter service to table once more throughout the evening

The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be, of course, Sheffield United’s John Garrett.

The cost per ticket for this fabulous evening is just £17 per head - to book just contact the SUFC Box Office - you can book a table of 10 for just £150 - please specify if you require a vegetarian option at the point of booking!!!

* depending on numbers, the venue may switch upstairs to 1889.

S24SU.com will once again be having a table for this event, so any forum members or site readers who would like to join the table... Please let us know ASAP!

Sorry love, but you didn't do a good enough job of removing all the exclamation marks from that story Foxy

Curtis Woodhouse = 'Legend'? I think not.

"Legends of the Lane" is the name of the museum and venue, which happens to be run by the organiser of the event.

Whether or not you consider a particular individual visitor a legend is down to personal opinion :)

Your first sentence was open to misinterpretation Foxy.

"Wednesday July 24th 2013 sees the latest in the Legends Of The Lane series ...."

We're a couple off a full table, anyone else interested in this?

What's the dress code? Put me down for one if I don't have to wear smart trousers or fancy shoes :)

Looks like this one is having to be rescheduled.... More details later!

Any news on this Foxy, it's the same night as the Wendy play Rangers so might get a ticket for that if this has been moved.

This has now been re-arranged for Wednesday 25th September, would appreciate it if those who wished to have tickets on our table would confirm if they are able to attend the new date.

Just noticed the article on the OS... my ticket is now freed up as I'll be at my Spanish lesson.

Will this be to discuss as well Curtis coming in to replace McDonald in the Number 10 role?? :)

I don't get this "number 1o role".

Did we ever replace the man, the legend called Brian?

The legends i know of since 1974 can still definitely be counted on the fingers of one hand. Curtis isn`t on the list but I would have nowt against listening to him, if he talks about football, especially his time at the lane.

For those that wanted them, I've sorted the tickets, will let you know the arrangements shortly.

Curtis is on live after the next fight on Sky Sports 2 now...
