They look like a mixture of Revels, Minstrells and Maltesers?

Alex Revill we were looking at for a while. Stevenage might ask too much mind.

Maybe Bogdanovic is coming back or we have finally got our man Mifsud?

I hate to be a pedant, but revels *are* a mix of maltesers, minstrel like chocolates, and others.

Wow, reading the comments here I thought clearly the lad is talented but must have been lazy. Wilder will fix that. Then I read his wiki page, the lad was scum. Could have changed but what a mess of a lad.

If he really has sorted his attitude problems out and left all that rubbish in his past he could be a brilliant signing and arguably be the most talented footballer in our squad. I trust CW to have done his homework in this regard and I'm sure any signs of trouble or laziness won't be tolerated by him or the rest of the squad, quite an exciting one.

Thing about Morrison is, he's never done anything as a professional footballer (bar a decent loan spell at QPR, I guess). He's not a one/two season wonder. He's not achieved that much.

In fact, there's as much evidence to say that he simply wasn't capable of making the step up to the men's game as there is to say he just never got his head right.

Hmmm.

This would be a concerning sign - strikes me a shopping out of the the bargain bin. I hope I’m wrong but suspect somethings just don’t work out. If sir Alex couldn’t sort him out I don’t see why Wilder will fair any better.

That said he looked ok for a while at West Ham until Sam allerdyce stopped him playing him of not signing with his agent (or something) allegedly. So low risk high reward and if it pays off it wouldn’t be the first one he’s pulled out of the bag.

I don't think they'd be any doubt he'd be our most talented player Lox, based on what Alex Furguson said about him.

I very much doubt (if Morrison signs) that he'll be coming instead of Freeman, or another number 10 if it's not Freeman. My guess is that he'd be playing up top and as an impact player to come on and create. If he does well then he can be what he wants. My worry is that he has had injuries of late but it would a real fairytale if he came and did well. I can't think of a better manager than Wilder to get the best out of him.

I’d be all for this providing Wilder has seen enough to convince him that he can keep on the straight and narrow.

His close control and manoeuvring in tight spaces was always excellent, and at 26 you’d hope he’s still got his prime years ahead of him with the right guidance and application.

Given he was last at Ostersunds you wouldn’t expect him to be asking for much, and the potential reward from a player with ability like his is massive. At worst he goes off the rails and Wilder ships him out ASAP.

The thought of Morrison finding something resembling his previous best form playing in our system is a very exciting prospect indeed. That’s my highly optimistic take, at least!

The more I think about this the more I hope he signs. He’s clearly got/had the ability so as a free transfer on a modest wage, the risk is very small, but the rewards could be huge.

Man Utd & Lazio is not bad career CV. a 1 yr deal on a free. their would be very little risk if it didnt work out, if like warnock & taarabt they can find diamond in the rough. it could be another great signing

Pure Championship Manager signing.
Could be the diamond in the rough and turn into to a modern legend if he finds his home and form at Bramall Lane.
He’s also had a few separate accusations of beating women which should keep opposition fans happy and not sit right with a number of our fans.
Perfect United signing.

We love signing baddies so I can see this happening

Ironic that the last player we signed with the surname Morrison was also associated with underachieving and with alleged bad attitude! I really liked Owen Morrison in his brief spell with us, I was quite surprised when Warnock released him from memory. I actually really hope we sign Ravel, he's got so much talent he could be a match winner if fit and firing.

concerns were shopping cheap maybe we cant get freeman so hes the cheaper option or Wilder wants to spend more on a striker etc

Zero chance of this being as a replacement for the Freeman role. You don’t offer Morrison a deal as your first choice option. Of course if he performs and makes the role his own then it can only be positive.

I too was surprised when Owen Morrison left. I recall him being very impressive in his cameos. That said he never achieved anything after leaving us so it was the right decision

That’s the way I see it too.

Even if we manage to sign Freeman, we’d only have freeman and Duffy as attacking midfielders. One injury and we are screwed - hopefully it’s an insurance policy with upside.

Who knows - I guess we have to trust wilder knows what he’s doing

This whole deal is quite a reach, but could he also challenge Fleck, who in my opinion needs someone to push him on to hit the top performances more regularly.

I've seen most of his matches for Östersund this season. Im a bit shocked about these stories as he has been really poor for them and barely played. I actually bumped into him twice in Stockholm nightlife the last few months, both times less than 48hrs before game. Quite remarkable since Östersund is 600kms north of Stockholm. I got a few friends working in the restaurant business who told me they've seen him around on a number of occasions, too. Heard he chartered a plane to make it in time for training the day after being seen here. The whole stint has been surrounded by rumours of bad attitude and that he's been unfit, although nothing confirmed or commented on by the club.

Let's see about this one, shall we.

Wilder might also want an extra attacking midfielder so he has the option to play one up front in some matches, especially at the top clubs away.
