Ramsdale

I am sick and tired of people slagging off Ramsdale and asking for Henderson back.

Henderson being in goal tonight would probably not of stopped us losing.

Henderson in goal tonight would definitely not of got us the win. I don’t seem to remember Henderson scoring many hoals

Can we stop dwelling on Henderson and focus on Ramsdale?? Ramsdale made a few smart saves and kept it at 1-0. Yes he can be erratic and make silly decisions. But he is not the problem. He is making saves. The problem is scoring goals and the so called fans asking for Henderson back are idiots.

Our problem is scoring goals and if we scored goals, Ramsdale would not even be spoken about as an issue.

He may not be the finished article or as good as Henderson. BUT he is not the problem.
Henderson would have been up top for the Mousset miss and would have beat Mousset to the rebound and scored 2. End of. Thread closed

He isn't the sole or main reason we are struggling, but he doesnt fill me with confidence.
He dropped a routine cross last night and was appauling against Chelsea recently.

Goals are indeed our main problem, but Rammers hasnt had a great season so far in my view either.

Not slating ramsdale , but one thing boils my piss is he always hoofs clearances ( probabally under orders ) but by never playing it short, opponents can leave extra men back to get the second ball as they know they dont have to leave players up to press, if we mixed it up , occasionally playing it out from the back this would help when we do hoof it as other teams would have players pushing up to combat us potentially playing it out from the back

Ramsdale's confidence looks shot. He needs publicly outing by Wilder and dropping to third choice, at best. The lad is a liability and should be told he is. And that if we didn't have to worry about him so much, we could probably make a little more effort going forward. Hopeless at the moment. A few weeks at the lowest level our set up currently play will do him wonders. Bring him back for the the game away at City.

Bomb scare. Sorry.

He’s a young lad and might improve. I personally doubt it. Our current situation dictates we shouldn’t be blooding players for the future.

Haha I'm sure that'll give him a much needed confidence boost...
Gets some stick, did alright today.

Wasn’t at fault at all for either goal. Still doesn’t look like a Premier League goalkeeper however.

Who are you dropping him for. Foderingham?

Had a better game today but will still get stick as people’s minds are made up ! Swept up really well for the ball over the top for Vardy . Not at fault for either goal and made a great effort at stopping the first . He’s playing behind a severely weakened defence that also has no confidence. He is nowhere near as bad as people on here make out .
As ever UTB !

Ramsdale is playing exactly as he did last season for Bournemouth.

I counted 3 errors today - errors that PL goal keepers should not make.

We needed experience after Hendo left -not blooding a potentially very good goal keeper in a few seasons time.

Same can be said of Pickford in his relegation season with Sunderland a number of years ago now - and people are STILL asking the same questions about Pickford.

The reason he got stick again today is that he dropped two simple balls and his distribution was woeful. Personally I was hoping for better for £18m.

I think currently Ramsdale largely saves what you expect him to save with the chance he pulls out a good one. He’s definitely brave in terms of where he puts his body and looks relatively comfortable with the ball. But he has a mistake in him in terms of shot stopping and today looked getable under a high ball when he’s roughed up as he comes for it. He’s a decent keeper but isn’t going to dig you out of a hole but not many do we were spoiled with Henderson.

He's a 'proven Premier League goalkeeper', remember. Because he got relegated in his only season as first choice.

I was joking on the whole. But he's been poor, and his confidence does look woefully low. Not as woeful as Lowe though performance wise... And now I'm not talking about confidence, I'm talking bad performance / player

Aye, I gathered.
I suspect that Lowe might just be a bit shit, doesn't look anywhere near a premier league player at the minute. I know a couple of Derby fans and he seemed to divide opinion there, just don't think he's good enough. No idea why he gets in over Osborn, I always think Wilder knows best, but I think he's wrong on this one. He just doesn't want to admit that Osborn is a better back up that the man he signed for that very role..

Needs to swallow his pride and play Osborn.

Lowe may be a good player if he develops but he isn’t good enough right now. Osborn, whilst out of position, is a better option.

It’s hard when you’re not confident as a keeper and the price tags not his fault but I’m struggling to stick up for him at this level at 22 you need to be better, deer in headlights springs to mind I really hope his fortunes change genually feel for him

So you’re telling me we’ve signed Jordan Pickford?
