It's either rating Ramsdale at 15m or the minimum we'd take for Rammers' and selling Berge at a loss.

I suspect this is Southern media trying to lower expectations.

70m would be hard to turn down. Even 65m feels a bit short at this point.

Don't like to see it but it might be good for a deal that Partey is injured. Forces their hand to either put up or shut up.

Surely the decision now has to be made to sort this out.

I get that Amissah in on loan and is a young keeper we are developing. Likewise I get that Dewhurst may either follow the same path or occupy the U23 berth.

But for the other 3, it's either shit or get off the pot, surely?

I worry for Eastwood. He came through with Rammers. He's 25 in October and has 29 league appearances to his name.

He's got to be questioning where his career is going. He's not even under consideration for the league cup and he's incredibly 2 months older than Verrips, yet seldom gets a mention.

Surely he moves on loan for the season then leaves or comes to some agreement to move on this season.

I'm not against having two keepers competing and not having an undisputed no 1 but you'd rather it be because you have two outstanding keepers like Tracey and Kelly than two who are not up to it like in S6 with Davies and Wildsmith!

If Verrips or Foderingham are not good enough then they also want moving on.

For all the desire to add players, we have 30 in the squad now and that is far too many.

We need a decent first choice keeper coming in asap, whilst 2 out of the 3 you mentioned need to be moved on / released.

I know it sounds convoluted but I get it, we are going to need them if any thing happens to whoever the No1 is. Bringing in aNo1 without giving either a chance, with Slav fully expecting them to not take that chance.

I’m inclined to agree with tincan you want to judge a player against decent opposition and we’ve seen both wes and verrips not be up to it. Huddersfield won’t threaten us like West Brom did although we may still lose

Even at this level we need a top GK. Given the player who got this team up and kept us there was Hendo, the player who took us down was Rammers - the need for a top international level goalie is absolute. Why Slav thinks League1 and Weetabix are soloutions is bizarre and puts his credibility in doubt.

Not sure an international keeper is required but if you want to be a top team in any division it helps to have top players for that level in key positions. A top championship keeper is a must.

I wreken Slav has already made his mind up and there's a No1 keeper inbound; the delay due to protocol in getting the deal over the line. His comments to the media was probably correct in trying both Wes and Verrips, but purely to find out who will become the backup keeper for the remainder of the season. Although not sure Verrips would be happy with that scenario.
