Well done rammers!

Not sure he will get a shot in front of hendo or pickford but should definitely be infront of johnstone.
CBA to check but how much 1st team footy has Hendo played this season?

Based on current ability, it's a fag paper between them but based on that I'd agree. But based on 1st team games that changes around for me.

Johnstone has also played well in a poor side.

Pickford has never really convinced me

Well deserved.

Stick that in your pipe to every one of you who doubted him and gave him abuse and ridiculed his signing.
£15/£20m or whatever it is....quite cheap for an England international keeper eh!
You were obviously rummaging around in the woods between the start of the season and March then?

Excellent week for him, Fans' POTY, Young POTY and now this. Some turnaround from where he was at the end of 2020 and I'm made up for him.

Proof for us fans that players can turn seemingly hopeless situations around and we should not be quick to judge.
Don’t tell Rodwell that !

I used to rate Pickford at Sunderland but now he seems to drop a bollock every week. Didn't he get dropped by Everton a while ago.

He started really well at Sunderland. Can't remember, I thought it was an injury but I might be wrong on that

I was initially an ardent supporter but must admit i eventually lost faith in Ramsdale, knew he had potential but his form was so bad. Didn't see how he could turn it around.

Deserves huge credit.

Massive mental fortitude to come out swinging over the last 5 months or so. One of the only good news stories this season. This tops it off wonderfully for Rambo.

If we keep him, and maintains form, likely the best GK in the Championship. If we end up selling, this really boosts his price tag!

Not going to lie, I needed to Google one of that squad

Wow, we're as bad as the West Ham fans claiming they won the World Cup in 1966 with some of the shite on this thread.
That is uncalled for! Very proud to have 4 Sheffield born players in the squad (if they are Sheffield born, of course;))

No, I accepted he was struggling for form, feeling the pressure but would eventually get back to the levels that saw the manager and the club pay what they did.

Sadly, far too many others just jumped on him and questioned his actual ability....and those are the ones I’m aiming for. The ones who despite all the evidence confirming that abusing your own players and getting on their backs doesn’t work...continue to hurl abuse at them and create a toxic atmosphere. Kin wankers as far as I’m concerned.
I’m over the moon the lad can ram the words back through their dim, thoughtless and brainless faces.

Let’s see if they force Brewster, another young lad with undoubted ability, out of the club and to somewhere he can be allowed to show them what he can do.

Would it be fair to say that he played like a Scottish keeper in the first half of the season and an English keeper in the 2nd?

Not going to miss Premier League twitter. Fucking know nowts.

"Why pick the keeper relegated - disgrace" says EggFaceSoccerNoScope69, a Liverpool Man City fan from Outer Mongolia, completely ignoring the fact that Johnstone has also been relegated and conceded 11 more than Ramsdale in a considerably more stable defence.

I'll hold my hand up here, was doubtful about his ability to start, always looked like he wanted to dive over the ball rather than for it and he didn't fill me with confidence. I'm also on record here as hoping I was wrong and wondering what our coaching staff could get out of him after seeing what they did with Henderson. As for abuse or ridiculing him, count me out, it's one thing disagreeing with someone but abuse surely has to stop all round.

There's a lot of competition for the standing & pointing position though.
Yes , but to get a good pointer you are looking at £90 million. Talksport reckon that's what it will take to get Declan Fxxxxxg Rice away from West Ham. W.T.F is the footballing world coming too. John Lundstram £80 million anybody.

I see the Star did their best to big him up:

'Ramsdale in shock call up' or something like that.

Why is it a shock? There are only 5 teams in the PL who have an English first choice or more or less first choice and one of them is injured.

Plus he's been the U21 keeper for the past 2 years. He's hardly not going to be on their radar.

Just won PoTY and Young PoTY.

Talked about talking the lad down.

Don't get me started on the Beeb. They had keepers there listed who you could choose from and Rammers wasn't even on there. Yet Alex McCarthy, who can't even firmly nail down a place at his club, was in there. Pricks!

He's likely to be the one who misses out but great recognition for him to get a call up. He's earned it.

Good on the lad and I'm really pleased for him after turning round his season. The downside is that he may well now be poached by upper Premier teams. I wouldn't want to see him go if we have any ambitions for instant promotion and I understand he himself is happy playing for us, but if a big offer comes in, for big bucks I can see the board being open to it.
What is Verrips up to now; has his season finished? Has he returned to the lane, or returned home awaiting further instructions? We have probably a very good replacement in this guy still on our books for a Championship challenge should we lose Rammers and all the more reason why we need a new manager's appointment now to make these decisions. Time is now critical.

Genuinely pleased for Rammers although I hope it doesn't accentuate the possibility of him leaving.

Seeing that squad written down really makes me realise we don't need one hand to count our genuine world class players.

The big question, is will he make the full squad. If he does, that surely adds 10m on his value.
