There's a reason he's not stopping these soft floaty headers across goal. Has anyone else noticed that when a cross to the far post is coming in he gets sucked to his near post? He then has to rush across his line when the ball reaches the far post. All his momentum is headed towards the far post as the header comes back across. He's giving himself little chance of stopping headers into the corner. That's why even when they are soft ones he's not getting there.

Not just on the goals, he's doing this consistently during matches.

The same goalkeeping experts are still at it! Rob Green, ex England, said on sky sports news, that if the ball keeps coming towards the keepers left, the keeper has to keep going left. If the opposition player gets good contact and puts it in the other corner, there’s nothing a keeper can do about it. Maybe look at the CH’s for not marking properly? Go look it up on the sky website.

Bamford seemed to get a few free headers in. I don't know if it's to do with having 3 defenders vs 1 attacker and no one being sure who to pick up.

Played well. At £18 mill he is a bargain and he could well be our first choice keeper for 15 years.
Looking at the video I can't believe how many free shots Leeds had at goal.

in the same way if McB had 3 1on1's with the keeper and on each occasion the keeper came out and took the ball off his toes, you would be expecting him in training to be working on going round further, shooting earlier etc
Arteta will be working hard this week on dinked crosses to the far post with looping headers back across the keeper.......
of course we will try to cut them out at source, but without Egan and JoC in the middle, if it does get put over, Ramsdale needs to work on hanging more central - as pointed out he goes scurrying over so fast to the back post he cant adjust his balance and get his feet right for the ball going across him

if it does get put over, Ramsdale needs to work on hanging more central - as pointed out he goes scurrying over so fast to the back post he cant adjust his balance and get his feet right for the ball going across him

He's almost too excitable when the balls coming in. He needs to take a leaf from Meslier's book... read the situation, look in front before the ball comes in and see that the opposition don't have a soul attacking the near post, and then stay closer to the middle of the goal.

Get henderson back then youll be happy, you and Bruce the cock Wayne and others on here aint happy no matter whos in goal if it aint deano! All goalie coaches and ex professionals oh sorry all Arm Chair Warriors! Have we scored yet err No! May i suggest you heroes target your coaching skills on the attacking element then we might get some goals.

I've thought he could do better with some of the goals conceded this season, but that wasn't one of them.

He had to pick, a header was coming, near or far post? He picked near and committed to it, and that's the only one he would've had a chance of getting anyway in all probability.

Sometimes that works and you look like a genius, like that Ryan Fraser shot Henderson saved during the Bournemouth home game. He had the whole goal to aim at, and he read the player and picked correctly, but other times you get done.

He had a great game today, came for corners and high balls into the area with great confidence and caught everything. Great save from the dipping shot second half that bounced directly in front of him, that he gathered in whilst under pressure from two waiting Leeds strikers.

Confidently caught balls all afternoon, many that Henderson would have been looking to parry away.

I'm pleased for him as he looked much better, more confident, better positioning and made some great saves.

He's a young goalie with several years to go before he reaches the peak years of the art of goal-keeping, so long may he stand between the sticks.

However, for the goal, could he have come for the cross?

I do like to see a 'keeper in total control of his area.
