Just a couple of points to consider McCabe will not be re-building our kop he will be tarting up a very poor stand as well as adding a few more seats. The only major building work will be new offices in the corner, if anyone thinks that is good they are very easily pleased ............... but then that's what our Kev counts on to get away with the shit he does.

It's an opinion that's pretty close to being a fact.

Wednesday are a bigger club than us. There's not much evidence to suggest otherwise.

I don't care if the pigs are statistically a bigger club than us ........

Its a fact that their egos, delusions of grandeur and arrogant attitudes, are exponentially bigger and if we remained trapped in this self-imposed exile in L1 for the rest of my life ....... I still wouldn't want to be a pig !!

UTB & FTP

Did anyone else hear the gem they said this morning on radio pig?

It was that staton (I think?! Don't listen that often any more. Recognised the voice but not the name. All sound the same to me - a series of oinks). He was speaking about the football over the weekend (just turned 6.30am) and he tossed himself off for a minute or two about the 'massive support' and then he said....."it was 1-0 to the fans".
And then muttered something about the fans were premier league

1-0 to the fans - love how they keep trying with their PR machine.

That, I cannot dispute. ;)

They don't seem to realise it makes them sound like children.

"We won the fans".

Take a step back and think how ridiculous that sounds lads . In fact don't. Carry it on

Makes them sound like twats. Fucking 1-0 to the fans? Really, lets see how that floats when the F.A allocate the money to the winners. Fuck all to the piggies by my calculations.

In a nutshell. The 'novelty factor' of going to the 'new' Wembley is irresistable if you haven't been before - we're bored with it now. FFS, Barnsley took 40k to the JPT final (and Oxford took over 32.5k), but I don't remember any song and dance being made. Every photo I've seen of the pig fans shows them wearing brand new scarves and shirts. Now they'll be consigned to the back of the wardrobe, along with their jester hats and 'clackers'.

Anyway, we'd better build a new stand for Wimbledon's visit next season. They had over 25k at Wembley. Surely they're not all on a day out and will melt away?
Bristol Rovers held the record for a playoff at Wembley with just over 40,000 and Millwall bettered that in their playoff final with just over 45,000.Both must be bigger clubs than wendy or us if you go by attendance as both Sheffield clubs could only muster just under 39,000.

How many did we take against Burnley? Sure we had more than 39,000

Not sure about Millwall being a good example. As I posted on this thread (Post #37), it's a real ball-acher for northern fans. Insane kick-off times that almost guarantee you won't get the last train home, probable hotel stopover, £70+ rail fare, £60+ for a match ticket. Millwall? About fifteen stops on the tube. Priceless.

They still lost.

1-0.

To Hull City.

That's all that really matters.

Giving THE PIGS an extra 10,000 tickets would have meant 50,000 would have seen them lose.

1-0.

To Hull City.

The only fans that won, were from Humberside and other regions of the UK where the Hull City
supporters travelled from.

The result was still :

Hull City 1

PIGS & 40,000 supporters, The Thailand Tuna Emporium, The Lisbon Waiter Who Had A Dream,
The Three Season Deluded's Who Have Already Had Their Money Spent On This One Season's
Transfer Dealings, Should Have Played In Black Shorts, The Post Office Bank Robber et al.... 0

& still on Channel 5.

There's not much evidence to suggest they are either. Unless you count flickering black & white news reels that is. Fact is. Given their relative success of the nineties and even winning a so called cup, they still struggle to significantly better our crowds while we're a division lower.

But it's not just about crowds, an even playing field in the top flight and there'd be nowt between us, in fact given our better infrastructure and ground, we'd shade it.

Over the years, i've had sex with 100 women who followed The Blades and 100 women who
admitted to being of PIG persuasion. 100 Blades swallowed, whereas only 55 PIG women swallowed.

What does this prove, statistically?

Nothing.

Nothing at all to with football, just the fact that Lydon's been very, very lucky with the ladies.

#Rise

FTP - Too right. ;)

Only info I can find is that Total attendance for Hull v Sheff Wed was just over 70,500 and for Us v Burnley it was just over 80,500. I can't find individual team info though.

For how shit Radio Sheffield apparently is, you lot seem to listen in religiously.

While it is nothing to do with football, I am always laughing if I have the misfortune to have the radio on in the car when that bloke Rony Robinson is on Radio Pig, when the OAP’s phone in, rambling. If I didn’t know better I would swear it was a comedy sketch.

Rony: So what do you think?, has Meadowhall taken away trade from city centre shops?, do you even still shop in town? we’ve got Albert on line one, Albert , what are your thoughts?

Albert: Do you know Rony, when I was a lad, my mam made me dripping sandwiches every day for mi pack up, when I were an apprentice at steel works.

Rony: Dripping sandwiches?, good point Albert, anyone else remember having dripping sandwiches, phone in and let us know, Edith on line two, Edith?

Edith: Rony, we had to walk to school and back in my day, no one had cars back then, we walked in all weather, rain, hail, snow. Kids never walk anywhere these days.

Rony: Do you agree with Edith? Do kids walk to school or not? We’ve got Alf on line three, Alf, do you see kids walking to school these days?

Alf: Do you remember getting loose sweets Rony? When I was a lad there was a corner shop on Chesterfield Road that had big jars of sweets, and the man would use a big scoop and scoop out humbugs in to a paper bag for a penny.

Rony: What are your memories of humbugs, or corner shops, or paper bags for that matter, phone in and let us know, Winifred on line four, which sweets did you like as a little girl Winifred?

Winifred: We didn’t live near Chesterfield Road Rony, we lived at Firth Park, but I had a cousin who lived near Chesterfield Road

Rony: Did you have any cousins when you were younger, phone in and let us know.
Just logged in to give this a like, my side's are actually hurting
