Alan Quinn has been called up for Irelands squad for next week's Euro 2008 Group D qualifier against San Marino in Dublin.

Hope he don't get injured now he's back in the team.

Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland manager Steve Staunton has shed more light on goalkeeper Paddy Kenny's surprise omission from the squad that faces San Marino next week.

Kenny, widely considered to be Shay Given's deputy, was overlooked after withdrawing from a recent European Championship qualifier with injury.
Staunton said: "Paddy is available but has had an awful lot of injuries and problems in his personal life.

"I decided, along with Alan Kelly, to leave out Paddy - just to allow himself to get a break and get himself right."

I think its more down to him being gash in the games he's played for ireland.

He hasnt been in the best form for us this season either tbh.
