Hi Blades, we are likely going to get an opportunity to speak to Rubén Sellés over the next couple of days. Just wondered, what are the topics you would like to be discussed? All (serious) suggestions are much appreciated.
What’s his thoughts on the pedestrianisation of Norwich town centre?

(1) what date where you initially approached by SUFC regarding the managerial position ?
(2) was the decision to leave Hull mutual and did it have anything at all to do with the position at Bramall Lane ?
(3) How much importance do you give to the position of club captain and have you decided who will be captain in the upcoming season ?
(4) You have taken over from one of ( if not the) best Sheffield United managers of all time , no matter which club he goes to next he is "one of our own" , a Sheffield United fan , which club do you describe as "your" club ? ( Not meaning us as the club you now work for I mean the club you support)
(5) Given the team and squad you have inherited did achieve 92 points last season but ultimately failed in our aim of promotion what would you consider to be a successful season for The Blades in 2025/2026 ?

1. In light of the fact that from 75 mins onwards last season we were the 18th best team in the league, how do you feel about improving the athleticism and stamina in the team, especially given we’ve just lost by far our best athlete in Vini Souza?

2. What are your thoughts on the fact that we haven’t recruited a single center back on a permanent deal since conceding 104 goals in the premier league. Will we be making significant permanent signings in this crucial part of the spine of the team?

Tell him to smile more…🙂

Ruben, could you just move to your left a little please. Thanks, I couldn't see you as kop pillars were in the way.

Wasn't going to mention that but now that you've brought it up...

Is there a chance that we are in fact skint, and we're going to forever know you as Reuben Sells, when our best players leave and we don't replace them?

Why don't the catering staff have loads of beers pre-poured to sell quickly? Particularly in the build up to half time?

Have you identified an adequate replacement for Vini Souza?

Not in terms of footballing ability, but in terms of us being able to sing about the boozer.

Reuben, sometimes my piss stream splits and it goes everywhere. Do you ever get that?

Are you excited to be in charge of the Sheffield Derby games? Probably one of the top 3-4 rivalries in the country.

How impressed have you been with the quality of the Academy? Have any of the academy graduates impressed you thus far?

I think the opportunity to put questions to the owners might have been good to get more than soundbites and a ChatGPT statement from them, but hopefully that will come.

As for Selles:
1. Given the experiences in League one, with Reading, were with a club going through a difficult time and with Hull City, it was also a difficult and chaotic situation with a side battling relegation when he came in. What experience does he think he will bring to a side with a new ownership structure, expecting automatic promotion to the Premier League?
2. From the interactions so far with the players on camp in Spain, how does the Quality compare to his previous roles? Is there a difference in the resources available for data, coaching, fitness improvements and the level of quality of the players?
3. What is the intention, again from what he's seen so far with regards to integrating academy / development squad players including the new signings from the Bulgarian league and what positive signs has he seen so far that there are players ready to step up?
4. As the squad is very light on numbers and also experience compared to last, with losses of some key players from the squad, what is the plan in terms of squad make up? A reliance again on utilising the Loan market to its full extent again or looking for permanent signings? Is the profile for younger players or to bring in some more experience as well as the younger inexperienced players from the lower or overseas leagues?
