cant get to games nowadays so Ifollow is great for people like me.

I buy a day pass and watch on my tablet/laptop.

Question is ; can I cast it from either of these to my tv?

Thanks if you can advise me.

Yes. It can be cast via chrome browser and a Chromecast device if you have one. If you don't (and even if you do) the easiest way is to run a HDMI cable between the telly and the laptop.

Thanks Presty.

I do watch stuff on Showbox which I can cast to my tv so presumably I’ll be ok.

Not very tech savvy I’m afraid.

HDMI cable the best way. The cast tab option normally hurts picture quality I find

I view my 'source' using a HDMI cable from laptop to TV and with an Ethernet cable as wifi can often be flaky. Works for me :)

Not tried it this year but I think Ifollow disabled casting, presumably to stop piracy.
I always ran an HDMI cable from the laptop to TV and this worked fine

If you can’t cast it using the browser or have an tablet or phone rather than a laptop to use cables, you can mirror it using the various Mirror TV Apps. I use MirrorSamsung for IOS to screen copy to TV although I don’t use iFollow so cant 100% verify it.

It’s decent quality, I used it last night to watch full coverage of the Mars landing on my TV via NASA online.

Even though I am severely critical of the crap that surrounds Windows 10 and its updates and reporting back to the Redmond mothership otherwise know as Microsoft HQ, some of the utilities are very good.

Windows 10 laptop coupled with a new(ish) smart TV and just set up the laptop with the TV as a second screen - simple, easy and works beautifully :) - Microsoft are still twats though

So in effect, anything that runs on the laptop, is cast onto the 2nd screen of the laptop - ie: the TV

A business with projectors onto a white screen on a frame are now a thing of the past - the above is very easy.

Ahh well there’s a positive, MS may be crap but their crappiness has kept me very busy for the past 20 years. ;)

Indeed they have and for me too - and I read the other day on here that you have sort of retired, but the Windows 10 OS is creating and continues to create a new level of IT business.
Was with one this morning - some dude had not had it on in a while - so what did it do - it decided to start download it's updates!
The 1709 to 1803 update that completely removed/altered file sharing caused numerous errors to something very simple like 2 PC's linking together for SAGE.
1607 to 1703 completely stopped MS edge working in a server based environment with roaming profiles - just the sort of set up in schools with lots of clients!
I like Windows 10 in a day to day environment - but the complete rebuild of a system with the major 8/9 month upgrades are a fucking disgrace in the havoc they can and do cause.
Yeah - it keeps IT people in business, but I am sure you'll agree - unexpected problems are not an IT persons best friend.

PS: think i've already put MS in the twats section.

Haha, yes you beat me to it.

W10 is probably Microsoft’s most stable OS, but the fact that almost every major update brings along with it a load of shite even as you say with it’s own products like Edge is beyond belief. Of course MS will always blame 3rd parties. Apart from corporate, Edge has failed several times now after updates for home users using Rapport banking software.

The Developer’s update early this year took days to complete for some Users with a slow internet connection and lower spec computers because it they handle it and parts of the update failed due to TTL issues etc. Some kit was unusable even if it it booted up and all I could suggest to the Users was to leave it on and let it run it’s course. Fortunately now must smaller businesses have alternatives or can get by with tablets to a degree, but it really is crap whichever way you look at it mate.

You can use it for red button games in the UK. Better cameras + radio Sheffield comms rather than one random sky guy

Cheers pal.

Just tried to sign in using my ID that I used to use for Bladesplayer and I get "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (httpss) isn't associated with any program or is not allowed in this context."

The address at the top is correct ("https") but it seems there might be a bug/typo in their code somewhere that has "httpss" hard coded in somewhere, which is not a protocol my browser has heard of.

Might have to give it a miss and just listen on the radio.

Edit: seems it's a known problem and they advise you to use chrome https://www.gigglane.com/index.php?/topic/31994-unable-to-login-to-ifollow/

Thanks all for your help. Gonna try the mirror method methinks.

Hope we put a performance in tonight. The pitch is going to very slick and slippery which may help us.

Why were you throwing Mars bars at your TV Gray? We’re you watching the Rotherham highlights again?
