Can't argue with current performances, would prefer our front boys to be notching a few more though

If we're top two at Christmas then i will seriously think about promotion. At the moment, we're a few away from SCUNTHORPE.

Defence looks solid, midfield are working hard just need to sort it out up top.
Happy days xx
That's not a criticism of Done or Sharp just think we need a more physical pairing.
Great day

Certainly moving in the right direction and I am sure CW will not allow the players performances to dip without addressing it.

We were very good, but Vale were woeful. A few more of these performances will prove where the power lies.

Best I've seen us play since Wilson's first season. We absolutely murdered them for 90 minutes. 4-0 and 4 disallowed goals? Incredible. The best part about it is that none of our goals seemed to be from horrific defending, we just outclassed them. Special mentions to Fleck and Coutts, who ran the midfield and of course to one of our best CHs for years - EEL.

They didn't offer a lot, but I've watched teams no better or worse than Vale come and take points off us for the last two seasons. What I saw today was us be comfortably the better side from the first minute. We didn't have to go all out to do it either. It's very difficult to make a game look that easy.

Bang right and I think he has addressed it already by having 2 players for every position. Bash had been playing his best and was in the side that got things moving but he ain't getting back in at the moment and rightly so.

Oh aye, we've gifted plenty of teams as bad as that a result in recent times. This is promising stuff from Wilder.

Starting to look like a promotion team.

All we need to do is not sell anyone in January and we may just do it.

It's important that we don't get too carried away and just let them get on with it without too much hype.

On the evidence of today's performance we can certainly be considered serious contenders. Few teams will be able to take us if we play like that but it's a long season and collectively level heads are needed.

I'm happy at the moment. We are playing decent football and winning games. That's all I ask for....a team to be proud of.

We look like a proper unit defensively and the difference in that department is massive. Not perfect, but good enough for promotion.

We're very good with the ball in central midfield. Not a great deal of physicality, but the quality makes up for it. Good enough for promotion.

We're average in wide areas, both with the wing backs going forward and the wingers we have. We don't threaten enough, and lack pace. Not good enough for promotion.

The current front two are very average, hardworking but don't threaten defences enough or create for themselves. Lavery and Clarke are key. If those two get fit, stay fit and perform then we'll be strong. Good enough for promotion, just about.

Much of this depends on the standard of the division though. My judgement is that no one will be outstanding and it won't take a massive points total to get in the top two.

Moore made the save when needed. Defence were superb with O'Connell, Wright and EEL a different class. Midfield three of Fleck, Coutts and Duffy were fantastic on the ball and look to have real quality. Sharp and Done's workrate was phenomenal and on another day they would have got a goal apiece with the rub of the green. All the players showed tremendous hunger and commitment and looked well organised.

Tactically we completely controlled the game and Port Vale crumbled under our pressing. We cut off their supply from defence and they fell apart. Big praise for Wilder and Knilly. The football was flowing, quick and slick, with the ball moving about at pace.

It's very early days but Wilder tactically looks spot on and seems to get an extra 5-10% out of the players. The spine looks strong. My only non-positive observation is I'd like to see a bit more of Lavery and Clarke off the bench.

I think we'll be in and around the top 4 but there'll be a few blips on the way. Bloody hell though, how good is it to see a Blades team put it about a bit? Happy days!

That was easily the best 90 minutes display since Wilson 1st season.

Very impressive stuff.
Produce that kind of display on a consistent basis and WE WILL BE PROMOTED.

One highlight for me, and there were a few to pick from, was well into injury time at 4-0 up, we pressed a Vale throw-in and forced a bad touch out for our ball, and every one of our players stepped forward into their half. That level of positivity has missing for a long time. No sitting back on a lead, no being happy with 2-0 and shutting the game down.

The score line flattered the opposition.

Sorry pat, I am going to get carried away with that performance today, after the utter crap we have had to put up with I am sorry pal I am going to get carried away with it, well until Tuesday morning probably and the I'll start worrying again

I think Port Vale fans might disagree about their defending. To give EEL a free header from a corner and noone on the line was poor.

My waters are still telling me promotion team. So much energy and passion on show, just need to figure out the front pairing imo or Done needs to start putting his chances away.
